Trump: U.S. Will Pay For Wall

Consider that Trump could levy a fee on all wire transfers to Mexico and checks on US banks cashed in Mexico.

It doesn't really matter what the Mexican president says.

True, but what goes around comes around. Why couldn't Mexico levy a fee on every gringo wanting to go to Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan?

It just seems like the wall is such a old-school approach. I favor drones and robots with tasers.

Don't know why this is so difficult to anticipate?!?

They do now! Or at least the last time I check out of Mexico it cost me a fee for everyone on board.

Personally I have no problem with it being paid for by Real Americans, it's a great investment for the security and economy of our nation.

All estimates, even the ridiculously overblown ones, are far cheaper than a few more years of Obamacare and it's completion will lift a massive drain from our social services safety net so Real Americans in dire need will no longer be pushed to the end of the line.

This single step Trumps anything Obama did in 8 years "for" Real Americans.

There is a lot of meth in Lapine. Forgot about that for a sec....

The Federales run the Mexican government. I'm sure they're excited to pay for a wall....lol

More and more I'm thinking Trump is a retard filling in as a President. People who voted for him are going to face a cold, hard reality.

And? Mexico would only be harming themselves. The tariff plus the loss of resort revenues.

People that were Democrats not socialist or Commie pinkos.

Other than Bernie, what actual, real life Democrat is a communist or a pinko? I mean really amigo, that is just so much meaningless rhetoric.

The ones that advocate single payer.

Larry Elder is obviously a biased source, but he tells a good story. It's either factual or not. It all happened in front of the cameras.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2015/08/06/democrats_theyre_all_socialists_now_127676.html

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, recently appeared on MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews." Matthews asked, "What is the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?"

Wasserman Schultz laughed, looked stunned, and began hemming and hawing. Matthews helpfully interjected, "I used to think there was a big difference. What do you think it is?" Still, Wasserman Schultz refused to give him a straight answer. "The difference between -- the real question," she said, "is what's the difference between being a Democrat and being a Republican."

Matthews tried again: "Yeah, but what's the big difference between being a Democrat and being a socialist? You're the chairwoman of the Democratic Party. Tell me the difference between you and a socialist."

Still, Wasserman Schultz wouldn't answer the question.

A few days ago Chuck Todd of NBC's "Meet the Press" offered her a chance for a do-over. He replayed the exchange with Matthews, then asked: "Given that (Democratic presidential candidate) Bernie Sanders is an unabashed socialist and believes in social democratic governments -- (he) likes the ones in Europe -- what is the difference? Can you explain the difference?"

Well, there's me!

Wasserman-Schultz is a stupid bitch quite honestly.

There is nothing wrong with a sprinkling of socialist ideals. The thought that if you agree with some socialist principles that you're a full blown socialist is bullshit. Just like I'm a Democrat, but I don't agree with every damn thing the Democratic party represents, by a long shot.

The Republicans on the other hand are brainwashed and nuts. But I get it, its a tough cycle to break. Your parents or church probably taught you those behaviors. But the fact they decided Trump was to be their best possible candidate speaks volumes of the party as a whole.

Libertarian views are interesting and kind of cliche these days, but there is definitely a place for government in the US. To think there isn't is being disingenuous.

But, Wasserman-Schultz and her stupid ass is among one of the main reasons were stuck with Trump. Bitch, nobody wanted Hilary to be the candidate, get over it.

If the wall did actually stop undocumenteds coming across, it would (a) upset an awful lot of Trump-voting farmers, and (b) make the cost of our fruits and veggies spike.

But of course, nobody SERIOUSLY believes it'll do anything.

Farming labor has already been creeping up, price-wise. And it's been more difficult to find. I'm anxious to see what it does after the wall is built, and additional restrictions apply. I don't know how many of these farmers are going to make ends meet. It's already tough enough. Don't get me wrong, the issue of illegal immigrants is real. And honestly, I wouldn't begin to know how to fix it. But shit's about to get real. Costs are about to take a serious increase.

A bit over-generalized. The two party system is STUPID. I consider myself Republican, but I'm like 54/46 split in my beliefs and how I identify with either party. I think the younger population, in general, is far more on the same wave-length than to be classified by the party we identify with. Let's be clear with that.

Socialism is government ownership of means of production. If government is the sole payer for medical services, it owns the means for providing health care.

Free college is along those lines.

Check out "Get the Gringo" with Mel Gibson and see a version of border wall. Of course a slope of compacted soil was placed against it so he could crash the 70+ mph Crown Vic across the top wall to enter Mexico. The wall concept is stupid. We should have set up factories for the migrant workers to enter from Mexico and pay them Chinese wages to produce the same products that the American owned companies dump on us. Call it a free enterprise zone and exclude litigation attorneys.

It was very difficult to find a roofing company in Portland that would put in writing that they don't employ illegals. As a consumer you have to take some personal responsibility for the illegal problem in this country. Real Americans don't wait for the government to solve all their problems.
>The general population believes its' the governments' problem. The "REAL" Americans are unemployed and have time to protest. Beside this very few "Americans" want to work their ass off in construction, landscaping and motels.

Build cheap factories on the border, pay migrants twice what they earn in Mexico and it would still be 1/4 of what we pay in minimum wages in Texas/Arizona.

It's all a big scam. No one wants to solve the problem.

US banks will loan illegals money at high interest rates. It's great for the banks, you can screw them over and they are too afraid to take you to court.

Businesses can hire illegals with no fear of penalty. Just claim that they're sub-contractors.

Illegals can wire money to Mexico and not show any ID what so ever.
And I am not saying I agree or its right, but it will drive up costs on everyday goods that companies have been using illegals for cheap labor. Once that ends, expect to pay 6 dollars foe a gallon of milk and 5 dollars for a carton of eggs and stuff like that. Consumer goods will raise in costs because the labor costs will increase.

Its funny how we as Americans(not singling anyone out) complain about how shit costs too much and inflation, but then we are the ones shopping at Walmarts and grocery stores that use illegals to pick the produce that they buy.
I am all for it, but believe me, there will be an increase in costs of goods. Be prepared.

We got us a Bizzarfo sighting. Until the last paragraph the post was equivalent to a Ted Kacynski diatribe.

Republicans are brainwashed and nuts, this reminds me of libs appropriating "snowflake"

I'm going to walk a mile in a liberals shoes today, how you say? I'm going to walk up to people skinnier than me and call them fat. Keeping a straight face seems like it will be the real challenge. Any tips?

Become a billionaire and you won't want to do your own laundry. If you're broke and Bill Gates would let you live in his mansion and enjoy the pool and theater and gym and bowling alley wouldn't you work your ass off cleaning up if you thought he'd let you stay if you did so? Especially if your other choice was homelessness.
