Amongst themselves, fine but we have no way of finding out what's going on in here when a foreign language is used for an entire post in here. Is it legal? No idea and don't care. I would never take it that far. I just think it's more polite to use language we can all understand. Even after over 50 years I still understand a lot of German so feel free to use German. Also, feel free to use expressions, phrases and brief sentences in any language. All I'm really asking is for a sense of what's going on, doesn't have to be perfect. In fact, like I say, it doesn't really have to happen at all, I'm just requesting some polite cooperation.

It is certainly not illegal to write in another language in here besides English. Lo siento (sorry) that you don't speak Spanish. I don't use it often here, but when I do it is in a respectful manner. I don't need to ask permission either. You can always ask what is being said. You asked earlier and I let you know.

I enjoy speaking/writing in Spanish. When I see Spanish being used here I will reply accordingly as that is the polite thing to do, and it is fun.

How did this morph? I never said anyone needed any permission to speak any language and I never said it was any kind of law. What I said was that it was a request and that I would like to see enough English for me to figure out what's going on and I made that as a request never did I say or imply that it was something I demanded. I wish people wouldn't read into my statements things that I never said. I'm now asking people to quite doing that.
