They are out there. I'm in Washington State and you only have to go a few hours east to find it (Spokane, Tri Cities) . Matter of fact you don't have to just go east. Drive out to the coast and you see it also (Long Beach). Never underestimate the opponent. I'm totally convinced Trump won last time because people believed the polls a little too much and felt there was no way he would actually win. Apathy cost the the Democrats the election. Just sayin.

Pointed this out multiple times...and if people don't take this election seriously and vote "en masse" and grasp the fact that nothing is a sure thing including the polls...the outcome could easily be the same...4 more years of you know who.

It sounds like you are saying you said one thing, but meant another. If you want to say the Dems picked her because she is a woman and black. Ok. But, that is a far cry from what you said in your original post.

You need to work on your phraseology because the points you are saying you want to make aren't getting across. What did come across was a post that was racist and sexist. None of us who used the word racist threw it out there just to do so. Many of us saw your post for what it was and it had to be called out.

Maybe use this as an educational moment. It sounds like you are contrite, though you continue with some of the same language. Maybe look back over your posts and try to see it as others are seeing it. Maybe be more aware of the things you write before you hit post.

I think it was a perfect storm of bad outcomes for Hillary and favorable for trump.

Apathy was one, but I think it was mainly the apathy of black voters in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Milwaukee that turned the electoral college. If blacks had turned out to vote for Hillary like they did for Obama in 2012, she would have likely won

but there were other factors:

* Hillary just wasn't liked, even by a hell of a lot of D's. And nobody wanted to see Bill Clinton in the white house for 4 more years (I guess that's apathy?)
* James Comey launched that last minute torpedo at Clinton's waterline that sunk the momentum she was building
* Jill Stein was an effective Moscow stalking horse with the Green party

* it shouldn't be ignored that years of voter ID laws, closed polling stations in D leaning districts, and blatant voter suppression was a huge factor in 2016.

* finally, the electoral college is an obsolete anti-democratic relic that skews in favor of the R's
 
In Southern California, Republicans are illegally placing "drop boxes" for ballots, labeled as official ballot drop box. They are not secure and ballots placed in them will not be counted. California voters, you can look up your REAL drop box location.

Make Tricky Dick look like rank amateur.

“California law allows people to hand their ballots over to a designated third party, who can then deliver the ballot, and state Democrats have used this law to hold “ballot parties” where attendees can fill out their mail-in ballots and leave them with volunteers who can submit them at once.

The California GOP is using the same law to justify its use of these ballot boxes with the National Republican Congressional Committee tweetingthat California Democrats were “only ok with ballot harvesting when it’s the Democrats ballot harvesting.”

the R's could do the same thing the D's do. That is, hold official gatherings where individual voters can then 'designate' the delivery authority of their ballots to a 3rd party for final drop-off. From what I've read, the voters have to sign some affidavit/form to tranfer that authority

that's not what the R's are doing. They are putting up private drop-off boxes....which is a violation of state law....and doing so without having an official signed designation of authority to handle ballots. Chances are high that any ballots they collect will be invalidated. And that will certainly be 'reported' by the same R's who put up the illegal drop-boxes in the first place

it's an obvious tactic of the R's to sow confusion and chaos about vote-by-mail and absentee ballots. It's clear what they are doing, and they are doing similar shit all over the country

but yeah, there could be too many loopholes and gray areas to this law. States need to simply have vote by mail (assuming the R's don't kill the USPS) while also putting up hundreds if not thousands of official drop-off boxes.

why would I be facetious? When I was studying at PSU, I would drop off my ballot there, and they would take it to officials. Voting should be easy.

Now I drop it off at the library at the official ballot drop box but before, for convenience, I would drop it off at the unofficial PSU drop box.

why would ballot harvesting be ridiculous if there’s no proof it causes fraud?

It seems to me that the practice is going to always be a huge issue for claims of fraud by both parties.

i wouldn’t drop it off there because republicans are openly trying to suppress votes. And it seems like they didn’t exactly follow the law you quoted.

But I haven’t dropped any in a “democratic” box either so idk what that process is like.

well, claims of fraud and actual fraud are two different things. We know that actual fraud is extremely rare compared to the volume of ballots

I'm fine with ballot harvesting being tightly regulated. But as I said, vote by mail/drop-off box should be the norm in all 50 states, and all 50 states should expand their elections budgets, and that includes thousands of official secure drop-off boxes

So glad I have Mail in voting because I know exactly what box to put my ballot in. The box inside the post office.
