Politics Turning GA, NC, NV, and/or PA into victory (Biden vs Trump, 2020 election!)

Today is a great day to kick some Trump ass! Go Joe! Send the snake oil salesman packing!
Like your style! Damn....closer than we want. This is like a Blazers game: the team is wining three quarters then losing in the fourth. HOPE NOT!

Trump is actively pushing for the destruction of democracy and 48 percent of the country supports it. I expected something like this and was i was still shocked. I feel sicker to my stomach now than how I felt when he was announced the victor in 2016. And he did it to a round of applause. I don't know if Amerikkka can be saved anymore. Honestly it doesn't even matter now, the fact that Biden didn't win in a landslide proves that America is beyond saving. There's just too much appetite for fascism here. RIP USA

The decision to push Hillary four years ago is killing them again. Biden would have won in 2016. Now they have to live with that decision. Even if Biden pulls this out he will be in no shape to run again in 4 years. So no matter what happens we are in for this scenario again in 2024. It's entirely possible the backroom deal will cost Democrats the election for as many as 16 years if not 20?

The current flock of candidate choices is disappointing now but we hope for better in the future. Joe is a one term president (if elected~no jinx) but if Trump or any of his "ilk" wanted to run again, we would be cursed into eternity.

I agree but seriously who is going to step up? If Kamala tries to run they will not only blast her for being a woman but also way too Lib. So here we are trying to vet a new candidate when the obvious next choice should be the sitting president or their successor. Like i said the Backroom handshake deal is still killing them.

The obvious factor is age. If Kamala has to take the Presidential office and succeeds, then she and other gifted women will be a future positive advantage for the Democratic party (except for Nancy Pelosi, of whom, I do not favor). Republicans have to dismiss that old white man show. I mention Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell as prime examples.

Soon, if Trump wins, you will have to get used to this type of leader......main-qimg-74599fd625739ea436d3d428304d520e-c.jpg

I went to sleep last night around 9 pm. I know better than to sit and go blind watching an election. Totally agree with everyone else that it should not be this close.
I got up and read this thread. What a crazy night you all had. Thanks for living it for me.
We will see how this turns out today. Remember. The Supreme Court is still made up of Judges. They are sworn to uphold the law and they really are upstanding people. Doesn't matter if they sway conservative or Liberal they still must follow the Law Of The Land. Trump can ask them to look at it all he wants. If people followed the rules set in place the election will indeed happen and the winner will be elected the next President of the United States.

Here is the law. If the election is a Tie- It goes to the House and the Senate elects the Vice Pres.
During a contingent election, each House state delegation casts one en bloc vote to determine the president, rather than a vote from each representative. Senators instead cast votes individually for vice president.

If there is a question in the "states dealing with the election" it goes to state level court and then if need be it goes to National Level.

Biggest losers of the election so far are the polling agencies.

Regardless of winner, Is it fair to say whatever metrics they use are obsolete?

The mainstream consensus seemed to have Trump between 0.5% - 5% chance of winning.

It really shouldn’t be this close.

Biden is not winning Pennsylvania, the gap is to big imo

Doesn't need it. Gonna win Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and maybe Georgia

The long game here though looks impressive for Democratic candidates if they are indeed good candidates.
Florida, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and Arizona have all become swing states.

If the numbers hold, Biden wins

Nevada only has like 18% votes to count. They should not wait a day to announce the results

disclaimer: still more ballots can be accepted that haven’t arrived yet in NV, as long as they are post marked by election day

I didn't expect Georgia to turn blue, but it's looking like it. Very disappointed with Florida. The Latinos votes in Miami-Dade county won it for Trump.
Why do Latinos vote for Trump at all? He called them criminals and rapists? How dumb do you have to be to vote for your enemy??

brainwashed by the lies that biden is a socialist apparently. and we shouldn't lump all of the Latin vote into this. It's mostly the people of cuban origin in FL. If it was all latinos, then the margins in TX wouldn't be as close as they are, or Biden wouldn't win NV. think this is a bit idiosyncratic what happened in FL.

Because Cubans like dictators

i see progressives on twitter already admonishing the Dem party for picking Biden. don't think that was it. He will end up with the most votes EVER in a presidential election. And he made serious inroads into NC, TX, GA when you look at total vote count. A Dem getting 5 million votes in TX is unheard of. Biden WAS the right choice.

The problem the party needs to figure out is how in the hell Trump is attracting all these new voters. The fact that he will get close to 65 million votes is just sickening to me. Is the education divide that large?

99% of the people who voted for Biden would’ve voted for a headless chicken over Trump

“I’m not voting for Biden, I’m voting against Trump” has been the motto of this entire election.

Biden still almost blew it

That's the M.O., of the democratic party.
