Did you miss the drunk guy asking the other guy to hit him? I mean, literally asking, not "asking for it" in the metaphorical sense.

If you ask someone to hit you and present your face to be hit, after being a despicable person, it's not "poor manners" for them to hit you.

You are WRONG on every level.

The drunk was not beat up, or he would still be in a hospital.

The kind gentleman used a measured response, the least amount of force necessary to neutralize a dangerous agressive person. The side affects from the attitude adjustment treatment were very mild.

The only one that has shown bad manners here is YOU!

And calling a fellow poster a name is a bannable offense.

Not even going to get into your "bad joke" of shooting someone, wow!

You clearly didn't read very carefully, he wasn't "asking for it" (though that too)...he specifically offered his cheek and told the guy to hit him.

So I'm afraid there's nothing unethical about it. I'd think you'd understand the concept of consent. Seems that, as a kid, you didn't listen to your parents.
