Millions of Trumpists will quietly take down their flags and stop acting out. They will go back to pretending to be part of polite society so that we do not see them for the obnoxious assholes they've been recently.

This was the high-water mark for the MAGA movement. The next attempted insurrection will be put down quickly and harshly, and those few that want to continue playing revolutionary after that will lose themselves in the woods.

the idea that trump banned from twitter will make magaholes even angrier is laughable. They are already boiling with hate. And yeah, the steam from the boil will boil-over occasionally like it did Wednesday, and like it did in OKC. And every time it boils over, the assholes pay the price and lose the boil.

rinse-repeat...and yes, there are always victims of the hate, unfortunately. But that would be a stupid reason not to restrict their access to forums

I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread but one thing Twitter said in justifying the ban was interesting, and thinking about it, I think Twitter was right: trump was sending a signal to his mob when he said he wouldn't be attending the inauguration. Basically, the message was "I won't be there...go wild!"

Yeah it concerns me with the planned attack on the 17th already, they may try to attack the inauguration and take out Biden or something. I am sure the secret service is better equipped than the Capitol police. Plus, they are going to have the national guard and lots of help from neighboring states. The scarier thing is we don't know who among those ranks hold loyalties to right wing ideologies over loyalty to the job and the incoming president. As we saw on the 6th many officers were willing to step aside and abandon their oaths

Parler removed from App store. There's a movement for Amazon Web Services (their host) to totally pull the plug on them.

Gab owns their own servers and is harder to take out. Rumors are Trump will get on there. Nothing confirmed, shit is going slow as fuck due to the new sign ups.
