From the 10/2 scrimmages.

From Blazers edge
"A couple of guys have come to me and asked, 'Coach, why can't I run a pick and roll?' Well, in the past you turned the ball over." -- Nate

Sorry, but this is BS. People grow and get better Nate.

BE again
In what little we saw: Oden balled today. Miller balled today. I'd start both, add Nic and call it good for camp.

Couldn't agree more

pdxtrailblazers Oden with a rebound, a faceup jumper from the line, a alleyoop dunk and a faceup baseline jumper, all good.

BlazerFreeman Greg Oden sinks a free throw J on one end, finises an alley-oop dunk and then swishes a baseline J during a fullcourt off drill.

BlazerFreeman All in three straight possessions during a full-court offensive drill. Who is this guy?

I just got goosebumps.

Cue "I'll believe it when I see it." guy.

A lot of talk about Oden shooting short range "J's" this camp. It would be just stupid if he actually developed that in to a somewhat consistent shot. His FT form and touch lead me to believe he has the inherent ability. With practice I don't see any reason why he can't develop that shot.

Oden coming to camp with a face up game?!?! YES! I know as a center he should dominate the post with his back to the basket, but developing a face up game will open up all kinds of opportunities for himself and the team. Great, great news!

The kool-aid is tasting great!

Oden's jumpshot last year seemed to have a low release point, which makes it easier to block. Of course, it was a rare occurance last year when he shot face-up jumpers, so maybe I'm mistaken. I wonder if he altered his shot over the summer. If not, he might have problems getting the shot over opposing centers.

Bill fucking Bayno has done wonders with other Blazers offensive game in the past. Look at what he did with Zbo and Aldridge. He worked with Oden all summer.

I can't wait for the season to start. I wanna see the strides that Oden has made on his game this summer. Reports seem to be all positive so far, but I remember last year when they were hyping Oden up. I hope he lives up to the hype this season.

I just hope Oden can do it during a reg game! Hopefully he won't get to amped up and will be successful early giving him a lot of confidence. Can't wait until Tuesday!

Is Greg becoming the next Patrick Ewing Jr? Minus the banging the all the strippers in Atlanta.
