He didn't sign with us...is what it is...we move on.

Not about one player...we just need to add some top 6 winger IMO.

Taking a shot on Semin at 2 mill or less isn't an awful idea now. Maybe he will be motivated after being cut and not getting a lot of interest. On paper he does fit what we need, R shot winger who clearly can help on the PP.

Doubtful we look at him though, doesn't seem like the kind of guy we'd add to this mix.

Incredible how dense people are. This team HAS NO CAP ROOM! GET A CLUE! You think they might have 2 million to spend. NO THEY DON'T. THEY NEED IT NEXT YEAR TO SIGN HAYES AND KREIDER. What freakin part of that do people not understand here.

They actually do dump. And they actually can move a dman, and will IMO, to get some cap space to add the forward we need. But you do you and write in caps and call everyone stupid...LOL.

I can't see it. We have too many dmen locked up long term to add Shatt as well. We need to focus on forwards not dmen. The only possible way would be if Yandle and Klein both go, but even then to have 3 dmen locked up for bigger money long term is tough, and that doesn't even factor in McD as the 4th guy.

To me the Staal deal is the one that will hurt us most. People say Girardi, but I disagree. He is a R shot, he got less money per, and he plays on the top pair. Staal is the deal we shouldn't have signed IMO.

When you read an article like that it again goes to my point, the cap is simply too low and too many teams have to scramble to try and keep a few players they want. Going to hurt the league over time IMO.

It's amazing that Chuck still doesn't realize I have him on ignore. Mind boggling.

if you have him on ignore how do you know hes responding to you. And for the record you need to take it easy with your self aggrandizing view of yourself and your "predictions" having an opinion is one thing, thinking that opinion is fact and calling everyone else a moron or an idiot etc is childish....but then again so is blocking some on a message board cause they can debate against your opinion of trades, free agency moves, line changes and all around hockey knowledge.

Hows Immonen doing btw, and Lucic for Yandle.

The only possible scenario I can see is as follows.

Yandle goes to St. Louis. Gives them a lefty to go with righty Pietrangelo on the PP. Shattenkirk is a righty. He comes here. Probably going to have to give up a prospect with Yandle. Perhaps one of the goalies. Halverson or Shestyorkin.

Then, that totally frees the Rangers up to deal Klein. That blocks McIlrath though unless you put Boyle in the stands. Shattenkirk is a UFA after next season. He'll obviously command huge money.

It's not hard SaveLundy. When I'm the only one here, I post, then he posts right after. You're as big of a moron as he is Lundy. You bring crap up from 10 years ago. That's what a 2 year old does. Welcome to ignore trailer park trash.

Funny stuff Lundy. I am not a child so don't put people on ignore, makes me laugh that dump does that, but also makes perfect sense.

The rest of your post is simply dump being dump. We all enjoy it in here. I know I love reading his posts, and aside from not being a child, I would never put him on ignore...too enjoyable to read his posts. You are all morons...I will come up with 700 trades that will never happen...yada yada yada. Awesome stuff.

Yandle for Lucic was 10 years ago? Ignore trailer park trash...LOL. You are AWESOME dump. Once again I BEG YOU to please keep posting like you do. It is great comic relief for the board. PLEASE keep doing you.

I dont think it's the Staal deal itself that hurts us. I still think his deal and Girardi's deals are favorable and slightly below market rate for defenseman like that. See Brooks Orpik last summer. And I see your points on Girardi. Staal is the better player, but Girardi's durability and right-handedness add extra value that makes him harder to replace.

What I think hurts us is that once we got Yandle we're very left-side heavy, and Staal is hindering Yandle from playing top 4 minutes. It's almost a waste to have him on the third pair. An offensive guy likes that need minutes to get in a rhythm.

I wish AV wasnt so set in this L-R pairing thing, I think Staal-McDonagh and Yandle-Girardi could be two very good and well-balanced pairs next year.

I think it is the Staal deal on top of already having Girardi and McD and Klein locked up longer term. If Staal was done and we didn't have all of those other dmen locked up, yeah I agree the AAV itself is below market value he would have gotten as a UFA, but with all else being in place signing Staal was a mistake I now think.

To me it still all adds up to dealing Klein to add the foward we need badly. Then make the top 4 what you called out, whatever the pairings may be.

We agree there Prod.

The one thing I do firmly believe though is if they don't deal Klein it shows they have little to no faith in McIlrath...hard to argue that. If they believed in Mac they would deal Klein now and go with Mac and Diaz as the 6th dman duo.

So to me out of this whole thing we will clearly know where the team stands on Mac, double so since he cannot be sent down without going through waivers.

At least once Boyle is gone after the year you will save by having Skjei for 4m less.

Not sure how a one year 2 million dollar contract hurts the following years cap..but then again....
