Russian government giving out meat grinders to mothers of soldiers killed in Ukraine. Could they be more tone deaf?
Entire war a meat grinder for Russian people who have nothing to gain and are losing their children.
 
US will no longer allow Ukraine access to satellite data. Trump determined to bring Ukraine to its knees.

Im thinking as the oligarchs realize that how much money they are losing and the future is pretty dim they could revolt against Putin. They cut the deal with Putin that they would allow him state governance in exchange for state own industries and economics incentives. putin can only continue on for so long. Desperate times call for desperate measures with some.

Why would they care if they can just spend a few mil and move their oligarchy to the US?

good question. Im sure they live wherever they want but when sanctions and impounding assets touch them (as it has a number of them) could change dynamics? They loved the power they had in Russia before Putin wanted full control of government.

Oh the incentive is definitely there. But nobody still alive is capable of building that kind of coalition. Anybody who starts looking like they might be winds up falling out a window.

Can’t back up your shitty remarks with anything substantive? Address the metrics in the graph. Tell us why it’s so honest and why percentage of gdp is the best way to count dollar amounts in this instance. Since you can actually read a graph why don’t you actually type something that indicates it.

Percentage of gdp is certainly a legitimate way to present per-country financial data. It wasn't misleadingly labeled.

Are the facts not caring about your feelings sufficiently?

First of all, you can shove your condescension up your ass. The reason I haven't responded in a substantive way to your remark is mainly because you've repeatedly espoused Russian propaganda in this very thread. I have no reason to provide a reasonable response to your rebuttal because we all know there is no reasonable discussion to be had with a internet troll.

There are many ways to compare countries contributions to a specific cause, % of GDP being one of them as Barfo indicated above. Is it the most honest? Idk, I never said it was. I provided the r/dataisbeautiful reddit link, there is a lot of discussion there about this specific graph if you'd like to go in depth. I found the correlation of % of GDP and distance to Moscow specifically interesting though. It's almost as if it shows that the countries that are closest to the Russian capital and have dealt with their bullshit the most have had a real reason to contribute to the defense of Ukraine.

Are there flaws in this graphical representation? Absolutely. Specifically I think the flowers at the bottom are dumb as hell. Again, here's the link to the reddit thread:

You're asking far more from another poster than you ever provide to back up your own half baked takes on whatever it is you are grinding your gears over at the moment. We just have to take your word for it. We get that you are an angry individual. That is about $3.9 billion, that goes to pay for education, health care, infrastructure, public health programs and workforce development. (USAFacts). Sounds to me like your state is going to be bent over a post and forced to take it dry in the near future. Please let us know how that works for you as it unfolds......and I say this as a guy who loves Wyoming as almost much as I love Oregon.
 
New demands on Ukraine, give US mineral rights, Zelenskyy has to "change attitude", turn over occupied land to Russia, Zelenskyy also needs to prepare to resign and call elections. US meeting with pro Russia opposition to whom, presumably, President Musk would send millions of dollars.

I don't know what to say about Ukraine agreeing to a 30 day ceasefire. Previously they had said they would not agree to a ceasefire without first security guarantees and also some commitment to getting territory back. But they are getting knocked out of the Kursk region in russia and they may have been told by Europe that they are either unable or unwilling to give a lot of military aid so they felt like they had to do it to at least get some temporary military aid from USA. It seems like having a ceasefire now will fix the borders on the current combat contact line. Will Ukraine agree to that? It's not so bad; russia would just gain a few hundred square kilometers of destroyed cities and towns. The other possibility is that Ukraine could put those thirty days (and maybe longer as negotiations drag on) to better use than the russians. Many Ukrainian troops have been fighting for two or three years (while most of the russians who started the war are dead) so they are exhausted and could use a break to recuperate, train new forces and work on better organization and communication. They could get the rest of the USA equipment into the country, bring in artillery shells from all over the world, ramp up production even further of drones and armored vehicles and
repair what they have. Europe could also ramp up military production, Then if they don't like the way negotiations are going, they could go back to war.
I think russia will accept the 30 day ceasefire although they may stall until they can get Ukraine completely out of Kursk and they may try to get USA to relieve some sanctions as an incentive. (If Trump does that it would mean he is a very bad negotiator or really is a traitor.}
