Seriously both countries could use the economic benefits from Russia placing troops there and the local citizens would strip them bare of anything valuable they brought with them. I say go for it!

The US has some control over oil companies' price gouging at the pumps but no control over what countries and companies are paying for oil on the international market.

I thought we already installed a puppet down there? Or tried to anyway. Wasn’t that the most recent oil-rich country we decided needed our help without them asking?
 
Venezuela's entire oil industry has fallen into disrepair. They can't just flip a switch and start selling the world oil again. They do have the largest oil reserves in the world but that oil is very thick and almost tar-like. Not the sweet honey crude that is sought after. It was American-based companies that owned and operated the refineries down there. And they had the technical expertise to refine that oil. When the previous Venezuela president kicked out the American companies the ability to refine that shit went with them. Right now Venezuela is importing gasoline and other refined oil products. That's how fucked up they are.
 
These sanctions and cancelling will result in the east setting up their own monetary system. :NOTMARIS:

According to the Regulations on Military Service in the Armed Forces by Foreigners and Stateless Persons, approved in 2016, foreigners can volunteer for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense Forces

"A separate subdivision is being formed of foreigners entitled the International Legion for the Territorial Defense of Ukraine. There is no greater contribution which you can make for the sake of peace," the statement said.
