Day 275. Russia kills ten residents of liberated Kherson in incessant shelling, injures 21. About 70% of the electricity supply has been restored in Ukraine. American-made parts were found in a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile shot down by Ukraine’s air defense.
Also, over 400 russian soldiers killed. Average of over 500 a DAY over the last 30 days. I looked up Viet Nam stats for 1968, the most deadly year for USA and found that USA lost only an average of 500 a MONTH.

russians lost 600 soldiers yesterday.
Day 277. Russian forces continued offensive operations in the directions of Bakhmut and Avdiivka and establishing fortifications in eastern Kherson Oblast. Ukraine will sign declarations on joining NATO with several states of the Alliance by the end of the year.

I read that half the power grid is dead in Ukraine going into Dec...that's got to be brutal....send them portable heaters and lamps!

Also Boeing has made a proposal to maufacture a rocket with small warhead that would travel 100 miles, quite a bit further than anything they have now.
Day 278. Next week may be difficult: Ukrainian authorities and the military warn about more attacks from Russians. 17% of consumers reconnected to the power grid in Kherson. There are signs Russians may leave Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

I read that half the power grid is dead in Ukraine going into Dec...that's got to be brutal....send them portable heaters and lamps!
They are getting hundreds and hundreds of generatons and heat guns. Also some countries sending transformers and other equipment for system repair. The guys are out there working day and night.

Reminds me of a great video I saw of a russian soldier in the woods wanting to surrender (probably because he was afraid a drone above might drop a bomblet), and by dipping it's wings the drone led him to Ukrainian lines.
Day 282. A blast at Ukraine’s embassy in Madrid injures one employee. The surrender hotline for Russian soldiers in Ukraine gets up to 100 inquiries a day.

UN requests $5.7B in relief funds for Ukraine in 2023. A new aid package from Sweden is worth USD 338M and includes air defense systems. Chief Engineer at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant betrays Ukraine and collaborates with Russians. (personally, I am not so quick to condemn this engineer; he may feel this is the only way he can keep the plant running safely)

The biggest move by Russia today was Putin falling down stairs, bruising his tailbone and shitting himself. All this without one shot fired! This guy needs to die and the sooner the better. Go Ukraine! Gut the Russian military machine until it's useless.

Day 284. Ukrainian embassies and consulates received threatening letters with blood and animal eyes. Ukraine lost 13,000 soldiers killed in action since the start of Russia’s full-scale war — Presidential Office. Ukrainian forces made localized breakthroughs southwest and northwest of Kreminna.

Add torturing animals to list of Russia's crimes.

Day 285. European Commission proposes to criminalize the violation of EU sanctions. NATO countries in OSCE call on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine. Kremlin announces Putin’s visit to Donbas.

Almost forgot. Overnight Ukraine sent drones with warheads deep into russia and attacked two airbases. Also russia launched another massive rocket attack on uKtrainian infrastructure, Ukraine shot down 80% of the rockets but still a lot of damage, but they will fix it and survive.

I would have to say that US intelligence is wrong (again). Ukraine will definitely launch a winter offensive as soon as ground is frozen enough to move tanks easily.
"Day 285. Fighting in Ukraine set to slow for winter months, says US intelligence. Russian troops killed 9400 and injured 6800 Ukrainian civilians since the beginning of the full-scale war. Russia is boosting its cyber attacks on Ukraine, allies."

Putin makes extraordinary claim only Russia can protect Ukraine from Polish invasion

According to Vladimir Putin, Poland has grand designs on Ukraine and has made the bold claim that Russia is the country's only saving grace. According to Faytuks News, Putin claims that Russia is the only guarantor of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

It reported on its Twitter account: "Poland wants to seize territories in western Ukraine. Russia could be the only guarantor of Ukraine's territorial integrity, Putin says.

"Nationalist elements in Poland 'sleep and see' in order to take western Ukraine, which Ukraine received thanks to Stalin's decisions after WW2.

"This will be the case, the only real guarantor of Ukraine's territorial integrity within its current borders could be Russia - Putin."

It follows on from news on Tuesday morning, when reports came in that an oil storage tank had exploded near Kursk city in the Bryansk region of Russia.
Roman Starovoyt, the Governor of Kursk, had blamed the attack on a Ukrainian drone, but Ukraine has not taken responsibility for the strike.

The Russian news outlet Baza reported that two drones "fell and exploded three meters from diesel fuel tanks."

Tucker Carlson threw a major fit over President Zelensky being named Time Person of the Year.
He likes Putin much better.

Day 291. Russian troops attacked Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa oblasts with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. In Odesa, over a million without power. Pentagon green-lights Ukrainian drone strikes inside Russia.
