Well, we have, theoretically, two more presidential debates and one VP debate to go, so I thought one thread on this might be good.

That said, given that "shitshow" last night (thank you Dana Bash, CNN), who knows if Trump and Biden will meet again.

WTF was Trump thinking? And Joe, by no means a stellar debater, I thought withstood the storm well and definitely played above the stupid low expectations Trump set.

If they have another debate I will refuse to watch it.

i am more interested in the VP debate now

Oct. 7
Vice-Presidential Debate
Location: Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

How to watch: The Times will have an uninterrupted livestream and will provide insight and analysis. The debate will also be carried on the news networks.

The moderator: The vice-presidential debate will be moderated by Susan Page, USA Today’s Washington bureau chief.

Topics announced: Topics are announced by the moderator and the Commission on Presidential Debates a week before the debate. We know that there will be nine topics, and each will get about 10 minutes.

Oct. 15
Second Presidential Debate
Location: Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. This debate was originally scheduled to take place at the University of Michigan, which said it wouldn’t host the debate because of concerns over the pandemic.

How to watch: The Times will stream the event and provide live analysis. The debate will also be carried on the news networks.

The moderator: Steve Scully, who is the political editor at C-SPAN, will moderate a town-hall-style event with undecided voters from South Florida. Mr. Scully will have an additional minute per question to prompt further discussion.

Topics announced: The moderator and the Commission on Presidential Debates will announce the topics a week before the debate.

Oct. 22
Third Presidential Debate
Location: Belmont University in Nashville.

How to watch: The Times will have an uninterrupted stream along with a live chat and a live briefing with analysis from our reporters. The debate will also be carried on the news networks.

The moderator: Kristen Welker, NBC News White House correspondent and co-anchor of “Weekend Today.” She is only the second Black woman to serve as the sole moderator of a presidential debate. The first was Carole Simpson.

Topics announced: The moderator and the Commission on Presidential Debates will announce topics a week before the debate, but as in the first debate, there will be six topics. Each will get 15 minutes.

I'm guessing the 3rd debate is cancelled. That would probably be the one dealing with foreign affairs, etc.

Dang, didn't realize the last debate is in Music City!

Interesting. After this first debate, I'm ecstatic to watch the next one.
As far as the VP debate, I've never watched one before. I was VERY impressed with how Harris spoke last night post debate.

Are Trumps supporters on here just too busy celebrating their victory last night to visit us today?

I am looking forward to the VP debate. Last election Pence got lucky with Tim Kaine. Kamala is going to eat him alive

All I've heard about the debates are how ridiculous the arguing, interrupting and insulting was, and why the debate shows that that guy shouldn't be president.

Did anybody hear anything from either candidate that made you want to vote for him (as opposed to against the other guy)?

Yeah, when Joe told Trump to shut up AND called him a clown, Joe got my vote (I was planning on voting for whatever Independent candidate popped up). Trump made it clearer than ever he is incapable of leading this country anywhere but into the toilet.

Trump is lucky Joe didn't punch him in the face

Yes. Biden talked to the people and of the people.

Trump trying to credit for shit that has nothing to do with him. Nothing new.

He had nothing to do with football coming back

Ill vote Joe as he I think he's really a moderate. But if he screws things between now and election I may vote libertarian again.

Yes, Biden was very far from my favorite but I saw a person not intimidated by abuse, who talked about serious issues in a serious manner.
