I don't think the NBA should reward Florida by setting up its bubble there. Apart from being too risky, why reward an idiot like DeSantis for being an idiot? Didn't they pick Florida (in part) because it opened up early? What message does that send? Imagine playing sports in the state just as the hospitals are being overrun (like New York in the early days of the pandemic). What if a player gets injured and needs to go to the hospital?

Relocate the bubble, or if that's not possible, cancel the season.

It’s happening. So much work has been done. It’s too late to relocate.

Not unpopular. As much as I really want the NBA to play. Its in their best interests to fold up camp and move on to planning next season.
strong possibility if the cancel rest of season there wont be one in 20/21. James may as well retire.

How much of this was just Disney offering the NBA a sweet deal?

Reading how the big NBA sponsors will be allowed to attend games I'm sure Florida was a big consideration for their convenience.

Or just having the space to hold something like this. Theoretically, I could see how Disney could provide an effective solution. However, I do not see it working. Too many players recently have gotten infected. Not sure anywhere is going to work if everyone involved does not take responsibility.

I don't think it's all that unpopular. I agree. I actually think they should just call it a season until the Winter.

The kinda infrastructure they need to host 22 teams prolly isn't available in such a closed manner anywhere else, however.

I don't think that it is going to be any different in the winter. It actually could be a lot worse then too.

I have hope for a vaccine come January. Availability will be an issue obviously due to manufacturing hurdles, but the level of research going on right now is unprecedented (I'm in the industry). Nearly every big pharma has a trial going on, and so much investment coming from biotechs too.

Only 16 tested positive. Did we expect less?

We want names, not numbers!
They weren't listed by name but they did mention several were Kings players..I heard Buddy Heild tested positive for one...Jokic tested positive awhile back in Europe

Yes. When you have money, staying safe should be easier.
I've never had less use for money than I have since February....I've bought gas and chicken food...that's about it...it is easier for me...I grow a lot of food and my wife orders online for other stuff and uses curbside pickup....retirement rocks! This should change the value system for a lot of young folk moving ahead as far as what's important to have covered in times like these...Hope you are doing ok out there.....if you get hungry and broke you can come pick up a bag of veggies and some eggs

It’s terrible that sports keeps pushing. It’s giving people a sense that things must be better because sports is starting back up again.

It's not even a real bubble. All the Disney workers will be going in and out.

THERE IS NO PROOF THAT MICE AND DUCKS CAN GET THE 'RONA!
