River & KJIM1 my forum friends, I think Cuomo has to own some responsibility as he knew what was going on with infected seniors being sent back, and he made the change later. The CDC/Doctors I remember from the outset stating that elderly wetre vulnerable and its was obvious from the get go that senior care centers around the country were being hit hard. In times like this there are mistakes made and I think he just like Trump made a mistake. Nobody is infallible including the Governor of NY, and I like the guy. Peace brothers!

Oregon's on the verge of becoming a mess.
Actually, its not as yet.
Read the weekly report from the 24th. Is really a good report.

Case's are not as severe and hospitalizations / ER visits are way down. They comment that they are in good shape for beds and ICU at this point.
Im not saying it won't get as you say, but my neighbor who is ICU nurse tells me to look at this site for accurate info pertaining to Oregon. She says they learned a lot and are very prepared and its the elderly and/or those with underlying conditions that are still most venerable. They have expected positives to go way up once things started opening up.

Another weekly will come out today or tomorrow.

I agree and it made me think... The NBA for years now has held Games in Mexico/London to broaden its fan base.

I wonder how feasible it would be for the NBA to hold the playoffs in Mexico. For example - Arena ITSON in Sonora.

Sonora has less total confirmed Coronavirus cases than Florida had new cases on June 27th.

There are plenty of arenas... Why pick Disney instead of an NBA arena anyways?

At any rate I fully agree with you Rasta.

I never got the impression Cuomo was in denial about mistakes made initially concerning the virus....I've only listened to him a few times but he seemed genuinely willing to listen to experts and adjust to the needs.....nursing homes were ground zero....in Oregon they have been the vast majority of deaths......it's tough...some there are quadraplegics who need equipment in the homes to live period....nobody wants to make those choices......what they initially feared is that those folks would spread it to family members...some would have been homeless

They should have been quarantined as they had places set up for it and once they were well they could go back. They are testing workers at my mother in laws place now and one was positive she has to stay away and quarantine .

Florida vs NY is apples and oranges. NY got it first and nobody was prepared. It’s also incredibly densely populated. Throw in travel to JFK and LaGuardia, and neighboring New Jersey. Shit show. Florida had time to learn and prepare and did neither.
