So it really does exist. The 14-minute "Carnival of Light" track, long the stuff of Beatles legend, will finally see the light of day, according to Paul McCartney, who says he's always been fond of the experimental noodling "because it's the Beatles free, going off piste." The track is said to feature distorted electric guitars, discordant sound effects, a church organ, and gargling sounds, as well as McCartney and John Lennon screaming phrases like "Barcelona" and "Are you all right?"

It's going to suck. I'm a Beatles fan, the experimental White Album being my favorite LP they released, but this song has not bee release cause it's not going to be very good...

I cant wait to hear it!

I'm interested to hear it, but I doubt it will be a big deal.

Since the rest of the band vetoed it's release before, even though they released a lot of less than stellar stuff at that point, this is probably a real turd.

Paul should leave it in limbo, if his ego will allow it.

Remember on their greatest hits album they recorded a song using old Lennon vocals? I think the song was "Free Bird". No not the LS song! If I remember it was okay, but wasn't really a hit.

It was called "Free As A Bird."

And it was fairly mediocre, yeah. But some of that was surely that it was unfinished by Lennon.

I'm glad it exists, but it is the weakest of the three tracks they worked on in 1995. The tech they used to extract John's voice from the demo is amazing, and I'm glad the song could be finished because of it, but this feels like a below average White Album track.

Well, George reportedly called it "fucking rubbish" during the Anthology sessions, but that might have been because the quality of the recording they were working with was so poor.

I would very much like if they went back and applied this technology to John's tracks from "Frere As A Bird" and "Real Love".

Maybe if Ringo needs more money they'll do that.

In my view the song needed another section to take it somewhere. I can see why they didn't put it out...it's sort of half finished. What they have is a good foundation that needs some framing
