Minnesota (7-19)
@Golden State
Lakers (11-19)
Detroit (14-15)
@lakers (11-19)

Cleveland
Orlando (12-16)

@Charlotte

Looks like 9-6 to me. What I think are likely wins are in bold.

We might steal a win @Charlotte.

What a hopeless optimist. You actually think we're better than any of those teams.

After this past stretch of fugly play, they'd better go 10-5 if they hope for anything more than an 8th seed and a quick first round exit.

I would HOPE we would win the bolded games. Only 3 of the teams in bold are even above .400. That is the little sisters of the poor...we should be beating them. The problem is we've been losing to teams like that. Can we get one of the games against the non-bolded teams. Perhaps against Toronto or Charlotte?

Beating the powder puffs of the league (of which we are one) doesn't erase the fact we aren't even competitive with the good teams of the league. Sure, it'll bolster our W/L record, and some people will think we've "turned a corner", but nothing will have changed until we beat, or play competitively against, the good teams. If memory serves (big if), we have one good win under our belts (LAC).

We really don't have to. With the way our schedule is in March and April we should go about 10 games over .500 for that month.

Assuming they can win those games, it just means we're firmly in best of the worst territory.

I'd rather hit the reset button personally.

What does that mean???

Get younger? We're already very young.

Trade for a lotto pick? I'm for it, but there's no point to trade Lillard or McCollum for one because it's likely the lottery pick never reaches their level of production.

So what exactly do we do to "reset"?

Turn off the oven, and toss out the cake...

"What does that mean?"

Trade for Cousins AND Noel and turn Blaze from the Trail Cat to the Wildcat.
I wouldn't say that's a reset that's more of a "move the clocks forward" type of move.

We didn't beat LAC. But we have beat OKC and Memphis.

Ive been saying it, but it will take time. you get Noel first. easier grab.

What does that mean? Trade Dame and CJ?

No. We can keep both and if it still doesn't work, we do swap with CJ for John Wall, but that is the last step.

First...

Crabbe/2018 Cleve 1st for Noel. If that doesnt work, either toss in Ezeli for a $7 mill opt out, or toss our 2018 1st for him.
Finish the season with that and let Harkless and Noel start to gel defensively.

In then off season, offer Sac a package of Aminu/Leonard or Plumlee(if we resign)/Ezeli or our 2018 1st(possibly both if NO can swing the first move without giving up either)/Davis.
If we had to, I would offer all of the above for DMC and worst case we look like this entering next season:

Dame/Napier
CJ/Turner/Connaughton
Harkless/Turner/Laymen
DMC/Vonleh
Noel/MLE pickup

For the DMC trade to work for us, I figure four players as untouchable and a package of most of any of the others I would do.
Dame,CJ,Harkless,Noel. They are the future.
Fill in the gaps with MLE's and we are a contender going into 2018. If our guard defense still proves to be an issue, we approach Washington before the deadline for a CJ/Wall swap and go for it all.

Patience and persistence and if NO could pull that off, everyone here would be doing the dance!

I'd trade CJ in the right deal for sure. A Damian/CJ backcourt gives up way too much on D to ever threaten a title, so if the goal is title contention Neil can't afford to be sentimental about these guys.

It means realizing that the huge financial investment that Neil made in this roster isn't likely to bear fruit. Maybe that means trying to get better in the lotto, trading for picks or maybe it means re-balancing the roster by trading guys for other established players who can play a lick of defense (or some combination of the two).

I don't care how young or old this team is, it's not working, and it's not just a matter of replacing the coach.

Trading who for picks?

CJ, Harkless, Vonleh, Biebs, Davis, Turner, Crabbe, Plumlee . . . you name it. Everybody outside of Damian should be available in the right deal.
What would be the lowest pick you'd trade CJ for?

Should? The Blazers SHOULD be better then the record they show now. No one would have predicted 3 games under .500. not even you.

I wish I cared, but at this point, I really don't.

Yes you do, or you wouldn't be here. And I say that with a common understanding. :)
Our passion and caring for the team is what drives almost all of us here.

Really stupid question. What could we get for Dame AND CJ?

Talk about an instant rebuild.
