We don't have Bill Shonely or Brian Wheeler on the radio anymore. I am of the age that when I hear that guy on TV I hear the sonics announcer.
I bet we could find a better voice from one of the forum goof offs.
it's a sad day to be a crab blizzard fan listening to or watching a game. even more so if we don't know what we are missing.

I always wonder about this? How can people say all they hear is a "Sonics Announcer" when he was announcing for the Sonics? How many times did i actually listen to the Sonics TV feed with their announcers? You gotta be like one of very very few Blazer fans that actually listened to the Sonics TV feed enough to equate him to the Sonics still. That was like 15+ years ago?

For real. KC has been a complete professional, and has displayed nothing but enthusiasm for the Blazers. I hated the Sorry Sonics as much as anyone. I can't stand seeing that clown wearing a Sonic's jersey at Blazers games. If he was talking about the Sonic's every other game, i'd, sure as hell, let you know about it.

Yeah he’s said things in passing about things he has seen or happened in years past but I don’t recall him talking about the Sonics much?

He doesn't. People just think he does cause they take anything remotely sounding like it and make it bigger than it really is.
 
I think Calabro is just fine and we're fortunate that the Blazers run the broadcasts in-house. Root Sports treats the Blazers like their ugly cousin and uses any excuse to put Blazer games on their version of The Ocho. If Comcast Sports or Root ran Blazer broadcasting the people doing the games would be horrible.

Again I understand my bias towards liking Calabro for multiple reasons (great voice, easy to listen to, had a really nice interaction with him), and they outweigh the negatives (TO THE CUP) lmao.
 
Colabro is terrible! He fails to announce who is in the game, often fails to identify who made good shots or plays, does not tell us who fouled, which foul number, what the foul was, or when a serious officiating error is made. Instead we get his irrelevant stories about animals, food preferences, favorite passtimes, and more references to Seattle than to Portland. He wastes so many opportunities! Let's get rid of him without further delay!
