Odd thing is, it was right before his spokesman was talking about train safety. Sen. Blumenthal is the one by the placard in the back.

"Safety, as you know, is paramount!"

:sigh:

It's just come out that Cheney was driving the train. He always misses.

Blumenthal is the guy who lied about serving in Vietnam after receiving 5 deferments. Cheney is the guy who also got five deferments from Vietnam, yet didn't lie about serving.

He said that one time. If you can find specifics of other times, let's hear it. I find only innuendo of other incidents. Here's the one time.

Blumenthal joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 1970 and served six years, all in the United States. He has accurately described his service many times in his career, but in 2008, he told an audience at an event in Norwalk: "We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam. And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it -- Afghanistan or Iraq -- we owe our military men and women unconditional support." Blumenthal explained Tuesday that he meant to say he served "during" Vietnam, not "in" Vietnam.

His critics consist of those who don't know how deferments worked--Republican egoists like you who are too young to know anything, and old veterans who were too stupid to go to college then.

Deferments were how you went to college beginning at age 19. I and all college students had them. He had 5 annual deferments from ages 19-24 while in graduate school. He was in the Marine Reserves from ages 24-30. You shouldn't read right-wing sites. They are bad for you.

Memo to Sen. Blumenthal....

See that yellow painted area adjacent to the tracks? It's a warning area not to be stood in. I suggest you get the hell away from it.

this is great

you know that guy had to shit himself

He said that one time.

Yes, he lied. I already said this.

He also apparently can't read the words "STAY BEHIND THE YELLOW LINE," either. Next stop is the inner city to give a lecture on gun violence.
