repeat.....
Uath will sign Millsap
You have the most comical spelling errors lol
I would be happy if they would sign him now, rather than Friday. I hate how they wait until the last day.
Even if they sign him, this is going to fuck them in the ass so hard it's not even funny.
The guy was speculating.
We still win if Utah accepts Millsap's offer.
Well they will need a trade partner and that leaves OKC and Portland. No we don't Maxie. We certainly don't lose either though.
Either Utah signes Millsap and goes into tax hell...(doesn't affect Portland though) Or they trade Boozer for players...(doesn't affect Portland either)
The only way we "win" is by them not signing him, or agreeing to some S&T with us involved getting a player we want.

+1, I needs at least a few characters to post this.Yes we do. Cap hell means they can't go out and improve themselves unless they give up real value. It means they're less likely to use their exceptions. It means they're financially constrained while we're competing for a championship.

How does it mean that?
We aren't going to compete for a championship this year, and next year Boozer, Okur, Harpring and Korver will be gone anyway. That's somewhere around 33 million off their books. It messes them up financially this season.
I gave the numbers earlier. And I know you hate the idea, but our championship window is open.
C'mon Maxie, You know I would love nothing more than Portland winning a title. I just don't see it this year. So far what we have done is get rid of our back up 4 and 1 and replaced them with rookies and a guy who didn't play a lot last year. I think until we get a lot better defensively on the perimeter we aren't really going to contend.
I think you are right that we most likely will not contend for the ring this season. However, I do think even if the Millsap thing falls through and we stand pat, we will improve purely due to growth from Oden/Rudy/Batum/Bayless. Even an average of 10% growth from those four (some higher some lower) and we have a pretty good team. I still say we need to make a play for Sessions if we don't get anything out of the Millsap attempt such as 3-way trade possibilities. I also think if we get a backup PF or PF/C we need to consider moving Joel for someone like Battier. We'll see things ain't over yet and people need to stop acting like it.C'mon Maxie, You know I would love nothing more than Portland winning a title. I just don't see it this year.
