I am a big fan of the unexplained and strange phenomena. I am going to start making threads here and there about strange happenings I have read about. I'm curious what you guys think about them. Many of them are most likely hoaxes, but I try to keep an open mind.
I'll begin with the story of Valiant Thor. No, not the God of Thunder with several blockbusters under his hammer. I am speaking of Commander Valiant Thor a supposed extra terrestial who is said to have landed in Alexandria, Virginia in 1957 in a spaceship with a crew of three. Vice Commander Donn, Jill, and Lydia. They were met by police officers who were suprised at how calm they were. They asked to see the president, claiming to be from Venus, sent by the intergalactic council (The Council of the 9) to stop humans from destroying themselves and their planet via nuclear weapons.
Commander Thor and his crew were then apparently brought to the pentagon after somehow verifying\proving who they were. After interviews at the pentagon they were ushered to a secret meeting with President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon. They were allowed to stay on Earth for three years to complete their mission, which they did not, as we humans continued to build bigger more powerful nuclear weapons. After three years Val and his crew supposedly took leave to the skies in their spaceship and were never seen again.
According to Phil Schiender and engineer claiming to have had a level 1 clearance, he met Val. Val had six fingers on each hand, an oversized heart, a single large lung, copper oxide blood like an octopus, an IQ off the scales, and could speak 100 languages including alien languages not decernable by humans.
Though Eisenhower's own family members back up this story, claiming it to be true, I have a hard time believing it. I am not the worst of skeptics, but most accounts of this story come from a book by Frank E. Stranges. Valiant Thor claims to come from Venus. The planet is covered by massively thick clouds of sulfiric acid. The average temperature is 864 degrees farenheit. The surface is hell, volcanoes, lava fields, etc. Valiant Thor's IQ has been said to be as high as 1200...come the fuck on.
Possibilities:
Most Likely: A hoax
Least Likely: it actually happened and there are extraterrestrials on Venus
An elaborate scheme created by yhe United States government in order to calm the tide of the cold war
The United States Government was duped
Russians
