Looks like we're in the lottery.

Oddsmakers have set the Blazers over/under win total at 40.5, just behind the L.A. Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies all of which were given an over/under line of 41.5.

The Golden State Warriors (67.5), Houston Rockets (56.5) and San Antonio Spurs (55.5) have highest lines in the Western Conference. While Butler's Minnesota Timberwolves (46.5) and George's Oklahoma City Thunder (48.5) are both projected to finish ahead of Portland.

Meh, those same odds makers has us winning 27.5 games the year we won 44. If I'm doing the math right, that means we should be good for 57 wins this year.

Oh I am making that bet baby! Soon as I get there tomorrow!
It's not a bad idea. It's seems a couple wins off from the push they go for. Small market, not a national brand, so maybe hoping for a payback without a lot of risk

I'd bet the over on Portland, too.

I wouldn't bet the under on the Spurs, though. Not because of Rudy Gay, but because I'll believe in their voodoo magic until it stops working.

No problem. Just get a Pops voodoo doll and stick a silver needle through it.

I mean, I think even a cynical portland fan would put it at about 38-40... you kind of HAVE to take the over... I know I sure as hell would, and wouldnt look back.

I think it mostly comes down to Nurkic staying healthy; not exactly a given with his track record. If he can play 75+ games I'd easily take the over (my gut tells me 47 wins in this scenario) if he misses 15-20+ games, then I think the Blazers are right back to being a .400 to .450 team.

It's a tempting bet.

I'd take the over easily, I don't mind that risk.

That being said, I'm not gonna do it. lol. I've actually never bet on a sports game.

I think Nurk will be healthy all year, but it is nice do know we have some backup options this next year that we didn't last year.

Someone pull up the wins/losses predictions thread from last year. How close are we, generally?

dude falls .jpg It's Vegas...They know what their doing or doing what they like to have done.

No. You can use a few sites

Vegas is tempting people to bet over on Portland, which means don't do it.
Only Blazer fans. I havent' seen one person talk about us like we are a lock to make the playoffs this year and most expect us to be fighting for the 8th. The closer we get to the start of the year I think most people we have us pegged as a 10th and 35-38 wins.
