Sharpe so Smooth, he wears a hoodie during practice:

It will be the most interesting….. when we fuck them up.Why is that the “most interesting”?
Why is that the “most interesting”?
I didn’t want Sharpe playing but he’s closer to a known commodity, but now with Dame on the way out, he absolutely should play with Scoot.Am I alone in thinking, now that we're trading Dame, that I don't want Scoot or Shae participating? At least in the games?
Development is great and all, but it would suck to lose one of those guys to an injury in completely meaningless games...

Wtf is this email marketing I got? Why is Scoot being advertised next to Steph. Weird.
They do this every year. They advertise the rookies but they also want to make the point that the greats played here and you might just see the next.View attachment 56594

Badji
???

This is exactly it. Nothing weird at all. They have evem used Dame in these before. They do this every year. They advertise the rooms but they also want to make the point that the greats played here and you might just see the next.
Wait there's actual games.
This last weekend has fucked my sense of time up something fierce.
This is the light at the end of the tunnel. Can't wait for a clean slate. Mold these young players into caring about both sides of the court, change the culture, and build something special. Scoot and Shaedon have me thrilled at our team's future.4 days away from actual Scoot/Sharpe basketball.
Fun fact — Badji’s standing reach of 9'10“ is in the same ballpark as Wemby’s 9’11”
One is 7’5” and the other is 7’1”![]()
So, in the Clint Capella mold.I believe their wingspans are the same as well at 7'8". He is also decently mobile. He is a ferocious dunker with very little touch around the rim. He doesn't shoot well from the perimeter, but his shot actually doesn't look too bad in it's form, rotation and follow through. There might be hope there.
But his ability to run the floor, block shots, and get put back dunks would be very welcome here. Hope he develops.
So, in the Clint Capella mold.
Of course. Not implying he will have that level of impact, just a question if that is the right kind of archetype to project him to. I honestly don't know much about him as a prospect. If he could get close to that level with even better size, that would be a MASSIVE win for the Blazers.

He is mobile for his size, but not as smooth or agile as Capela would be my impression. I watched a ton of video on him over a year ago (there is an old thread somewhere) before the Draft and saw some things that are uniquely rare. He just has to get passed the 'raw' level. Portland got him for nothing. Almost anything he provides will be a Win, but if he puts the work in, I think he has the ability to be a back end rotation player that can cover up a lot of mistakes on the defensive end.
Watch the dunk from the play that starts at 19 seconds. The PnR is on the same side and he locates and catches the ball looking 180 degrees from the basket. Then in midair, redirects (all with one hand) and throws it down in traffic. That is an incredibly agile, skillful catch and dunk.
Also, at 1:30, watch his 3-pt form. That is not bad at all. Looks a bit like Grant (when he doesn't do the really quick high release shots).
I just double checked, it's not a one-time thing. He's wearing a hoodie in every scrimmage.I may just change my moniker to SharpeSoSmooth…
