Didn't read all the above, but see a lot about Scoot. Just curious, as I absolutely see Scoot being a potential star PG, and do agree about the star of a championship caliber team not being a shorter PG. Are there people who are thinking that Scoot has somehow surpassed Sharpe as the potential MVP of this team? It didn't even occur to me that some might. I view this team going as far as Sharpe takes them, and Scoot as the ultimate setup guy to help get him and the team to a contending level...And I don't think this diminishes the value of Scoot at his role and position. Not to mention the leadership, which will be critical.
That’s how I see it too, Sharpe has the tools to potentially put up 30 points a night along with a few 40/50 burgers for the highlights. Scoot is the pg that will get him there.

Magic and Byron Scott was pretty good.

Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond.

Steph and Klay.

Jason Kidd and Penny Hardaway was supposed to be good. Penny was never healthy.

Payton and Kobe was was good on paper.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I really hope we don’t need Shae to score that much. I want balanced scoring. I want three dudes at 20+.

Scoot at 20 and 10.
Shae at 20 on super efficient numbers.
Grant at 20.

That would be amazing.

I hope the duo is as successful as Michael Jordan and whoever played opposite of him.

I was so pumped during the 2008 Summer League. I thought we had the PG of the future

I hope Scoot doesn't have to score that much. I'd rather see 16/12 than 20/10 from him. Of course, I wouldn't mind either.

I like that too for this season to get the whole team going. Though if you can’t stop the rock, you have to let it roll.

Scoot's "problem" is that he can beat everyone off the dribble. If nobody covers the hoop, he's just got to go and score.
There are a lot of bad defenses he'll see in the regular season.

Any one of us could be the short white dude who played next to MJ.

I know you're kidding, but there's not a single one of us who could score in an NBA game.

My guess is he is easily our most polished rookie.

Does anyone know the reasons behind why Murray is so old as a JR in college? Is he a stormin' mormon?

Is he going to be playing for AND against the Blazers next year?

Well that’s just clearly not true. If I threw enough shots up from half court, eventually one of them would go in….. I think.

I didn't say "on an NBA court", I said in a game. YOU'RE TWO SECONDS AWAY FROM GETTING THE BAN HAMMER

wtf was that? I didn't type that. I think there's a glitch in the system @SlyPokerDog

Yeah… I’m lobbing shots from half court in an NBA game just to prove you wrong!

If Jabari and Murray show promise, my excitement for the potential this year's success will grow exponentially....and predicting they will. It's the centers that are a complete mystery. I know nothing about Badji, so super curious.

I would agree the centers are the 'biggest' question mark as we have seen so little of them or don't know much about them. They are all from overseas in leagues only Schmitz seems to know about. If just one of them could hit, it would be a big boost for this rotation.

So your best evidence is two guys who DIDN'T want Miller, but really wanted Scoot?

I was reading their board and the summer league thread on RealGM. Hornets fans are cursing Jordan and saying they should have had Scoot.
Hold on, you are reading fans of a teams, and their opinions on a forum and saying THAT is where you are getting your info? You DO read THIS site right? Imagine what other fan bases would think if they actually admitted to reading the nut jobs on here and their opinions..... holy shit. I'm actually good friends with a Hornet's staff member and they are ecstatic with the pick and this kid's work ethic and willingness to grind.
Now you can choose to believe ME ( I don't really care if you do or not) or you can go to a fan forum and base your opinions on what @BuzzSpeed is posting.
