The rich get richer. The NHL Western Conference is LOADED with powerhouse teams.
In the West good teams are not going to be in the playoffs.

I just read that Florida is paying half his salary. I didnt think this was allowed in the NHL, but apparently under the new CBA you can retain a limited amount of salary for up to three contracts which a team has traded. Wasn't aware of this provision. Here's a quick article on it for whoever else was clueless like myself.

This is a great deal for Chicago....They give up marginal prospects for a 20 goal guy AND get Florida to pay half his salary
