The Blazers are going "hard" after a PG and listed possible targets: Rondo, Nash, *cringe* and Ridnour.

Dwight, like alot of us here, likes Rondo.

Theres guys available in free agency... we aren't winning any championships this year

Gee, this is a newsflash. Dwight must be really well connected.

I would not mind Ridnour actually. He's been good under Nate before. I'm pretty sure we can overachieve with him at the helm.

Actually, nevermind, I would not be happy with Ridnour...

One of these things is not like the others...

BNM

<Sarcasm>

One of them is not white?
One of them has actually played for Nate before?
One of them has an MVP under his belt?
One of them has a championship ring?
One of them is from a foreign country?

Only one is 'real surgery' when you factor in age.

We don't want that one then. As Blazer fans, we've seen too much surgery over the past few years.

I see too many complaints here anytime there is talk of surgery. Band-aids seem to cause less distress.

Or am I missing something?

;)

Surgery is risky, but without a microfracture procedure, this franchise may never compete again.

True, but MF surgery cannot replace meniscus (just ask Brandon Roy). Right now we've got "bone-on-bone", players, coach and management all seem to be grating on each other.

Perhaps we need replacement surgery, a real GM? A new owner? A new coach? All of the above?

God, if we could somehow get Rondo without giving up Nic, I would take back every bad thing I said about our front office and PA.

Id do it even if we did have to give up nic.

I'd take Ridnour. Makes more sense long term.

Someone should be held accountable for the Felton nightmare.

I don't know why the Celtics would trade Rondo for anything we have aside from Batum and Aldridge. And I really doubt any of the big name stars want to come here. Is Luke Ridnour our PG of the future??? Oh brother....

Who said Ridnour was the PG of the future?

bandaids, bandaids, bandaids. Nash is 38 fucking years old, and while he can still play, he won't make a difference this season. Rondo is obviously a great player, if the Celtics really do trade him, what does that say about him?Teams just don't trade stud PG's with his talent unless there are serious underlying reasons. Ridnour is the epitome of a bandaid. Maybe an upgrade over what we have now, but why?

Nash just dropped 13 Pts, 8 Rebs, 17 Assists on Minny last night. That's instant impact and more than a bandaid.

The only downside of getting Nash is that it would likely save Nate's job for another few seasons.

Nash will not make this team significantly better, IMO. I realize once again I am on my own in this thinking however.

I guess it depends on what you think "significant" means.

I think this team get to the playoffs with Nash, but still gets bounced in round 1 if it's the only move.
