Kerber reveals a ton of interesting stuff in his latest nightly blog/update of Orlando summer league. It's a good read... check it out! Here's some bits:
On CDR:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Quick prediction: Net fans are not going to like this kid. They will love him for his hustle and his get-it-done ways. EVERYONE says similar things, that he doesn't jump out at you but at the end of the game, his team wins and he's dropped double digits on your noggin.</div>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Douglas-Roberts signed with Nets yesterday. Gets two years guaranteed at $1.178 with third year at team option for $854,000.</div>
On VC at the game:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Who was that bald man behind the Nets bench jumping in the huddle at timeouts? Yup, Vince Carter. He had the team to his house for the morning shootaround and then drove 40 minutes to watch the game. Wanted to see the draft picks.</div>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"I just wanted to let these guys know from Day One I'm here to support them and anything I can teach, I will. I was watching and couldn't just watch. I think to hear from a teammate means a lot."</div>
On Brook:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>But Lopez has upside. The guy is huge. He can really shoot and do it with range. (A joke that one Lopez jumper was "Collinsesque" was met with icy stares by some in the Net circle. We shut up after that).</div>
On Free Agency:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Roger Mason Jr. of the Wizards, who was VERY high on the Nets wish list seems headed to San Antonio. That leaves Pacer Kareem Rush as a shooting guard type (scratch Clipper Quinton Ross for now) and Keyon Dooling as a combo guard. Remember, the Nets pursued Dooling big time three years ago, lost him to Orlando and signed Jeff McInnis instead. Or they could have burned a pile of money in the backyard.</div>
It's a pretty long blog, there's a ton of other good stuff in there.
