Volkswagen Announces Australia Recall

Volkswagen AG, Europe's largest auto maker by revenue, said Wednesday that it is recalling 25,928 vehicles in Australia to replace faulty gearboxes that cause some cars to lose power.

The move heaps new pressure on the German car company, which earlier this year recalled 384,181 vehicles in China, and has also recalled cars sold in Japan and Singapore, all over gearbox issues.
