Yeah, I don't know how this will work out but until they actually fully kill All-Star weekend, I'm kind of having fun with all of the Frankenstein's monsters they are fucking around with.

I have wanted to see US v World for a little while now, so there's that.

There are 5 international players that are in the top 5 of either the West or the East: Giannis, Shae, Doncic, Jokic, and Wemby.

Deni is the 6th vote-getter for international players, so I think even if he moves to 5th place in the Western Conference that he wouldn't be a starter. (Edit: that is probably impossible this year. If he did move to 5th he'd likely pass Wemby and would definitely be a starter. ) Selection is 50% fan voting, 25% media and 25% current players.

However, if one of these international players above can't play, I think Deni would be the obvious choice to be an international starter.
Not sure where i heard it but i thought it was one usa team, one euro team and one world team( all players not from europe or America).

But i guess that still means he would have to be top five from europe.

Well, if Jokic were a Blazer, I would say he would still be injured by that time. Nonetheless, I could still see him skipping it.

Still don't understand how anyone gets voted in. So they have voting for East West but the teams are us/intl.

Are top 5 east and west vote getters starters?
But then intl team might have 7 starters?
So one of the US teams has to play 2vs 7 at the start?
When would international team have to sub two guys out and US put 3 extra guys in?

Call me old fashion but I remember when the NBA was 5on5

So sounds like Deni need to move into top 5 of West vote getters to be an all-star starter.

But then he might come off the bench. And his team could have anywhere from 8-24 people on it.

His team might have 10 starters.

Even with zero injuries there could be 40 Allstars this year, if everyone selected to 24 spots is international and Silver picks 16 US born Allstars. With injuries maybe that's as high as 45 possible all stars?

Wow this is so simple!

Also. Notice Denis stats compared to those above him with more votes? His stats are better than half of them when looking at the big three overall. Only Luka, and Jokic are clearly better. Ill say Shae too because of the e point differential. Otherwise, ill take more assist and rebounds over one extra point per game.

Surreal to see Deni right above LeBron/Durant. Deni is very close to Edwards, he might pass him or already have. Going to be tough to catch Wemby though;

But yeah I forgot the fan vote is only 50% - so with Wemby missing games very possible Deni gets more of the players/media vote and jumps into top5.

Unfortunately Wemby has more name recognition and would probably get the nod.
