Arrest "Ron Jones" and prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law if he did vote a couple of times.

"I decided to come back and vote a couple times."

Seems pretty clear he left without voting due to the lines and came back a few times to see if the line was shorter so he could vote.

My impression from his statement is that he still has not voted, due to the lines.

That's true. I didn't even think of that.

Could be, but also could not be.

Could be, but also could not be.

You're saying he waited 7 hrs in line, voted, waited 7 hrs in line, voted, waited 7 hrs in line, voted,...

Not likely.

it's possible what you are saying is true, but what he said was that he came back and voted a couple of times and he gave the impression that he voted more than once.

the best part of it all though was "i think that's illegal but, uh, that's ok."

did they say 7 hours?

the guy said 7 in the morning.

they also said that he had just voted and that right now there were no lines but they expected it to pick up.

Is it even possible to vote more than once?

Only through some sort of fraud. Stealing someone's absentee ballot or registering to vote multiple times under multiple identities. I've even heard stories of people using absentee ballots of their dead relatives.

Why is it not a requirement to show ID when you vote? That would put an end to 99% of voter fraud.

As I was speed reading through the thread titles, I somehow first read this one as "Voter Vomits Twice - Live on CNN". Seems fairly likely, actually. :)

That's what I saw too, just now, after already visiting this thread.

That IS what it says.

...Ron skewed the election completely [I demand a re-count]!!!

I did not have to show ID to vote, they never even checked it. i had some ghetto ass cardboard thing with a scantron. wtf....

I like how they taped over "san diego" fucking ghetto asses.

That seems weird to me too. Why didn't I have to show ID?

Putting aside your vast fame (as maxie stated) there's the question of what ID could you show that would be fair?

I don't know voting laws, but it would be difficult to put in a requirement for voting that could be met by the entire electorate. *shrug*

Anyone know?

Ed O.

This is an issue where the Libertarian part of me gets uncomfortable, but I am a believer in a national ID. [shudder]

You, you, communist, you.

I personally don't see a problem with a national id system myself, but then I'm one of those people.

I too, support a national ID. I think it simplifies things. Having a uniform standard to it all.

Isn't having a drivers license good enough?

replaces that. scannable everywhere, etc. Don't know if I like the RFID chips....i don't think i do.....right now....but i've have to see more

But aren't drivers licenses legit enough? I mean it's still a government issued ID, but you don't need to completely overhaul a system as you would for a federal ID.

It'd be easier to just set universal ages for driving.
