How can you favor a group that doesn't have a health plan?

See that is money well spent by the insurance companies, they have once again won the battle. Great job money!!!

Wrong giant govt. program at the wrong place and wrong time.

If the democrats and Obama had even a short track record of saying things will get better, doing the massive spending thing, passing bills by partisan votes, not reading what they pass, and things appear to work out for the better, maybe people would be more open to the idea that more govt. and higher taxes is the answer to this and everything else.

When the plan being proposed by the Democrats scares the hell out of people, any alternative looks better--including the status quo.

Seems like the same thing happened with immigration. The Democrats (and at that time Dubya) came up with a plan, Republicans fomented enough anger to shoot it down, and not much has improved since. (Well, immigration has declined somewhat as the economy tanked. But structurally there are still millions of undocumented workers with no plan on how to handle the problem.)

Ditto with health care in 1993.

Going to war, tax cuts, and stopping whatever it is the Democrats want to do seem to be the only plans they make.

Aside from "going to war" (I'll swap that with providing a strong military), if the belief is a smaller government, then why should they be making other plans, which almost always increase the size of the government?
