Anybody headed downtown tonight? I'm about to get my SLAM and DIME magazines signed.

Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard and Washington Wizards guard John Wall will appear together next week at a Portland event to launch shoes, socks, hats and sweatshirts with a springtime floral theme.

The Florist City Collection celebrates the start of spring, Adidas says in a news release Friday, along with the two NBA All-Stars who have emerged, almost by default, as the leading basketball endorsers for the Adidas brand.

Lillard's collection is an homage to the Rose City; Wall's, to the springtime cherry blossom's of the nation's capital.

Wall and Lillard will be appear at Compound Gallery, 107 N.W. 5th Ave., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday to sign autographs, an appearance that will coincide with collection's release. Fans who purchase items from the Florist City Collection will gain VIP access to the meet and greet.

I thought Damian was leaving Adidas. What did I miss?

He's opting out so he can get a bigger deal. Whether that's with Adidas or not, who knows.

It's like when a player opts out to get a longer extension. (At least, that's how I perceive it.)

If he's opting out, I'm rather surprised they're debuting his shoe. I guess he technically could resign with them

Giving Dame the old, Re-hashed, UGLY since day one, Kobe Bryants is a slap in the face. Move to Nike when you opt out Dame.

Those Crazy 8s and Crazy 1s might be the uglies shoes that Adidas makes. WTF

Hah that's been discussed on the Bacon Sports "Hoopster" jersey podcast.

Currently bidding on a Dan Majerle Team USA jersey.

Dame thought the picture of him and Mo was pretty cool. He snapped a pic of it and showed it to John.

It was a pretty cool locale, but man the Compound Gallery staff were clueless on running an event like this.

I almost pulled the trigger on the Lillard shoes this AM. I'd probably never wear though, well, on occasion but I already have red shoes. #blood

They have them in all black! According to the sneakercrush junkie I waited in line with who claimed to have already pre-ordered them.

Compound Gallery

Que story: arrived an hour early at 6PM, line wrapped around the block. It moved so slow and wasn't until 8PM somebody finally came out a said, "if you just want autograph's there's another line." Yea that would have been nice to know, but lucky for me I even got in. Came out at 8:30 to irate crowd learning they wouldn't let anybody else in, people (and families) saying they drove x number of miles and waited x number of hours in the cold for nothing. A pissing match issued to the point of a staff member cussing at people who were being turned back. #Respect, Not.

Ya, those small boutique shops love the pub, but they aren't used to handling those types of situations. I've been in that shop a couple times. They have some cool stuff. Those type of public appearances are better if they are held at big places like the adidas campus.

...staff member cussing at people who were being turned back...
That's what I was getting at when I said you coulda just left it at "staff were clueless". Compound, man, that place...

Nah, I'd get them in red for sure if I did kop them. Kind of regret it now, oh well. They sold out on adidas.com already, but I was able to put in my basket since I saw the tweet announcing them within 2 min.

I'm just really not a sneaker head anymore, most of them just stay in storage. Then the glue on them (esp nikes) starts getting fucked and they fall apart)
