Ya, his somewhat scary decline this year and lengthy injury history is my only concern.

How the hell is Wallace the best player in the deal? He has lower PER, EWA and VA than Miller and Miller gets his contributions in 5 MPG less than Wallace (thus his EWA/VA are much better than Wallace's). Camby has a higher PER, almost the same EWA (despite the fact that he plays 10 mpg less per game) and a lower VA (again, plays much less).
Gerald Wallace production this year took a fall this year, not as bad as Brandon Roy's production fall, but a significant one...
Wallace is having an off year. If he were not, there's no way that we could get him for this price.
I ascribe much less weight to 24 games than I do to the previous five seasons, where he had PERs between 21 and 17.5.
There's no indication of that being the case with Wallace and, at age 28, I doubt he's going to fall off of a cliff.
Wallace is the best player in the deal, both now and (especially) into the future.
Diop has kind of a nasty contract for his production. 3 years left(3rd year is a PO) at $6.5M/$7.0M/$7.4M
Who the hell signed him to that?
I was thinking the same thing but about us....... why would we do it. I can understand Jordan wanting more vets. Why on Earth would Charlotte do this?
Terrible idea.
cause jordan wants to shed salary... and cause they are 9-18
did you really need that explained?

of course you were lmao
wallace sucks. camby and miller are all stars in hcps world cause they give his ego the time of day
no the guy who covers the team did... see articles
If there really is a lockout next year, then even if we did re-sign Camby and Miller they are going to be 36 and 38 the next year they suit up. Yikes.
I think you really do have to do that trade. I'm a much bigger fan of Camby and Miller than I am of Wallace, but the meter is running on those guys.
Besides, if Charlotte continues to flame out like it has been, Miller might be an easy acquisition for us to get after the lockout anyway. His star will have fallen and a lot of GM's will look at his age and pass on him. Kind of like when we traded away Blake and the re-acquired him the next season.
One of my buddies just texted me that this deal is dead. Not sure of source yet, but he said he read it online.
2 seasons ago this trade would have been:
Steve Blake/Travis Outlaw/Raef LaFrentz
for
Gerald Wallace/DJ Augustin/Desagna Diop
Does that sound any better to anyone? Because that's what this trade is (Camby=Blake/Outlaw) + (Dre=Raef LaFrentz EC)...........
DJ Augustin
