Clearly, ex-Charlotte Bobcat Gerald Wallace hasn’t gotten over the shock and hurt he felt over being suddenly traded to the Portland Trail Blazers last month.

“Basically, you feel betrayed by somebody you love,’’ Wallace told the Observer before Saturday’s Blazers-Bobcats game. “I totally didn’t see it coming. I’d been there seven long years and then you feel like you’re not wanted anymore. That’s a bad situation to be in, especially for me, who committed so much to the organization.

“I understand the situation – it’s a business and they’re looking to start all over. They wanted cap room, and I guess I was the logical answer for them trying to get draft picks.’’

Wallace is coming off the bench for the Blazers, who have been using him at least as much at power forward as small forward. Wallace said he’s OK with not starting, for now, while he learns coach Nate McMillan’s system, but expects to get into the starting lineup eventually.

“I told them, I worked so hard to be a starter in this league that I’m looking forward to (getting back to) that,’’ Wallace said. “At the same time, I know this is an adjustment period and I have to learn all of the plays.

“I have confidence in myself that once I get the plays down, I’ll be starting.’’

Wallace has two seasons left on his contract, at $10.5 million each. His family is back in Charlotte, so as not to uproot the children from their schools, but Wallace said he and his wife will come to Portland in the off-season to find a new home.

I just tell it like it is. Thats why i do not work for them.

"Telling it like it is." eh? Try this headline and see if maybe works a little better: "Wallace feels betrayed by Charlotte, Hopes to start for Blazers soon." See how easy that was?

I can't believe he's shocked about the trade. His name has been bandied about for the last 2 or 3 trade deadlines, from what I remember.

Reading the comments seem we have some new Blazers fans.

It must be a blessing in disguise for Gerald. Can't help but think everything happens for a reason. He was my favorite player, since he's gone I have lost all interest in the Bobcats. He was the heart and soul of the Bobcats to me. I will be pulling for Portland against the Bobcats tonight. I bought a 20 pack and have NO interest in going to any of the remaining games. No one else left on the team works as hard as Gerald did. No one is deserving of being my favorite player now. I guess I will come around...in the meantime I'm a Portland fan! Go Gerald! You're awesome! I will miss you. Hope you read this.

It's probably the best thing that could have happened to him. At least now he's with a franchise that actually has a clue.

Living off your parents, living in the basement does not qualify as a job. Does your mom pays workers comp and soc. sec. on you?

So he feels betrayed because Nate isn't starting him? Is that what you think the article was about? This shit never ends!

No, he knows exactly what the article was about. He was expecting people not to read the article and instead just start complaining about Nate, Wallace and Cho. You know, instigate panic, and then watch from the clock-tower and he's metaphorically jacking off to a picture of Justin Bieber.

If this thread title isn't example of trolling, I don't know what is.

Nice board you're running here, Denny.

have you seen beibers new haircut???? kids a star!!!!

anyway.... i said he feels betrayed and he does. where does it say by blazers?

Dear Gerald, Go stand in the corner and wait for a kick out.

There, not there is no excuse for not starting

You have to be smart enough to realize that your title has two parts to it. 1) Wallace waiting to start (obviously blazers related since he doesn't play for any other team) and 2) feels betrayed (assumed to be blazers related since the first one was and their is no clarification).

You have to be smart enough to realize that.
You have to be smart enough.
You have to.

assumption is the mother of all fuck ups my young padawan.

Yes, please don't assume Mixie's smart enough for anything.

I guess I don't see the trolling in this thread. While the title could have been more specific, it is accurate.

GTFO, the title implies he feels betrayed by the Blazers for not being a starter. when in fact he feels betrayed by his old team of 7 years for trading him. Typical Mixum bait.

It's bait, yes, but because you and everyone else interpreted it incorrectly, doesn't make it trolling

I could call you up and say ewes suck, and not at all be talking about you. It's how it's interpreted

lol not trolling but def a purposely misleading title.

Right now the title of Michael’s book is ‘Something Weird Is Going On… colon… What Did Jan Say?’ The Michael Scott Story. By Michael Scott with Dwight Schrute.

Isn't it the fault of the person interpreting the title? Because the title is accurate, if you read that actual first post.

Right now the Wallace story goes "Wallace cant wait to start... but he feels betrayed... Is it the Blazers fault? Check my thread to find out. The Gerald Wallace ongoing trade saga by Mixum.... With Dwight Jaynes"

Yeah, because it is possible to read the post before reading the title. Good call!
