30 years ago this week Thriller by Michael Jackson reached #1
and
Ralph Machio is the same age right now that Mr. Miagi was in the first Karate Kid!

Damn. I remember when Thriller came out!!

Like it was yesterday.

Oh wait. I'm only 30.

Those were before i was even born, damn old people.

The first time I ever felt old was when a Playboy Playmate was younger than I was. FYI: Christine Richters, May, 1986.

Whatever you say, gramps.

Karate Kid? So Japanese culture took over? So I sent 5 of my sons to WW2 for nothing?

I started feeling old when I realized I'm older than nearly every Blazer. I'm only 29, but I grew up looking up to NBA players.

when there are playboy playmates that I'm old enough to be their father, I'm not sure what I'll do with my spare time anymore...

Eh, I see enough teen parents around with kids as old as mine. It helps keep me feeling young.

I start to feel old when athletes are pro and younger than me...whatamidoingwithmylife

Just wait until you start getting as old as some of the assistant coaches. :(

Or older than many head coaches. OUCH!

I play basketball on two rec league teams. My oldest teammate is 30, most are under 25. A while back, one of my teammates was asking me about my job and how long I'd been working in the high tech field. I told him I started working at IBM back in 1984. He got a funny looking smile on his face, so I changed my answer to "your entire life" to which he informed me he was born in 1987. That made me feel really old.

But, I got over it. So far, my 50s are the best decade of my life.
