Good read. That sucks for the guy. 5'2 isn't that tall either.

AllNet how did you get to be 6'8?

Am I the only one that thinks the title is a bit misleading?

I'm actually 6'9 1/2 now. Or I was last time I checked about 2 months ago. I should of stopped growing when I was 21 so I shouldn't be any taller. Hope not anyway. My dad was fairly tall so that might explain part of It. It's a random thing. You never know how tall one could be. My mate is 6'4 and his dad is only 5'10 so sometimes It isn't just about how tall your family are.

If I have a son in the near future doesn't mean he will grow to 7'0+ just because his dad is really tall also.

Funny thing about the article was this quote

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Just the other night I met a girl at a party, and in order to talk to her I had to lean down to hear what she was saying. This may sound really weird, but the fact that I had to lean down was amazing.</div>

Makes me wonder, geesh..how small was this girl?

Yeah height is rather random, there was a guy in my high school that was 6'8" and both of his parents were under 5'8". Also AllNet, many people actually don't stop growing until they're past the age of 22.

lmao, yeah I thought the same thing when I got on here. I was like "Oh no, someone has hacked into AllNets account and is posting spam"

I can think of much better ways to spend $100,000.

Hey give the kid a break. The average height for women in the USA is about 5'4 so at least he's around there now.

Damn, 5'2 is still really short. I figure my height (5'8) to be short as well, but I realize I take it for granted. There's a lot of people who wish they were my height. A lot of my friends are 5'10-6ish, which is where I want to be height wise. It doesn't help that my brother is 6'1 while I'm on the average side.

When I first read the thread title, I thought it meant something else......

I saw a story on the health channel about a 2-year program this midget chick went through to grow a foot. they put in tons of hardware and screws, then broke the bones. Maybe the article says they did the same thing but I didn't read it, sorry if they said this

im 5'8 and a junior in high school, i don't feel to short but sometimes i do. when i was in 8th grade i was just like this kid i was 4'10 i was the 2nd shortest kid in my class it really sucked, also seeing how my parnest are 5'4 and 5'7, idk i feel 5'8 is fine i dont want to be too tall or too short, i also felt that my dads height was a height i would like to be at which i have passed (funny cause all my dads brothers are over 6'0) but i feel for this guy being 4'10 and 18

I would think it can be quite difficult in for men to be under 5'4" or over 6'8".

I wish I was taller, I'm only 5'11" and I feel so short when I play basketball cuz I'm like the shortest out there. Then in baseball when I go shake hands after the games, I feel hella short cuz the players look so small from the dugout

My dad is 5'9" and my mom is 5'7" but all my uncle are 6'0" to 6'3" on both sides of my family. I guess my grandma's brother from my mom's family was 6'5" and grew 7 inches in his last 2 years of HS and through college.

<div class="quote_poster">authentiq Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">i'm actually hoping i don't grow taller (i'm 6"3').</div>

For real I'm 6'2" and feel the same way...I'm projected to be 6'4" but I'm fine where I am.

lol it seems no one is satisfied with their height in this thread

Unless you are playing pro sports there isn't alot of use being so tall. You can't help It but in life being really tall hurts you in terms of buying clothes, going through doors, sitting down and having bad problems. I guess It helps If you have guys trying to pick fights knowing you can beat them down pretty bad but really It's not alot of fun. Realistic you don't want to be any taller than say 6'4-6'6.

If someone had to make fun of me for anything ... back in around 8th-9th grade. They would say I'm short.

Im 5'6, thats 2 in. below average. Ofcourse I wish I could be taller ... but I be stylin hard while im 5'6 so its all good.

1 question, is this true? The taller you are the bigger your hands will be. Because many people have told me I have big hands for my height. And many girls be like man... u got a big ........

I'd like to be about 5'8-5'9, I'm 6'0, and while I'm not really that tall, I'm pretty tall compared to most people.

If I was to be tall, I'd like to be really tall, like 6'9+

Height isnt really that big a difference anyway, I have a friend who is 6'7, and he is only like a head taller than me.

god I'd trade ya.

I'd rather be 6'0 then 5`8

i understand, but a lot of the short people are liek i wanna be 8'4 lol its jsut funny cause everyone whos short thinks its great being tall, and every one whos tall wants to shrink down a few inches cause its not great

That's because nothing is perfect. Another reason why life is great.

Now just for those who thought it was a penis extension thread.

Why did you come in here? A bit telling isn't it?

LMFAO! hahahahaha good one...

Nice find.

3"+ why not?

I would be 6'6" = good NBA height. If I knew I was going to be my height when I was in middle school, I would have probably flunked out (of high school) thinking I could be a pro baller. Instead of "playing" basketball I would have practiced everyday and focused on improving every aspect of my game.

How come you didn't try to be in the NBA? If I was your height, that would be what I would aim for.

I could of made some lower division team in europe I guess but not the NBA. It's very hard to make It, harder than anyone can imagine. It's not just about being tall you have to be so skilled. I was a decent rebounder and a good shooter but not much else. I also had injury problems early which hurt my speed. I was closer to becoming a pro Tennis player than I was a basketball player. I was very good at both and really never gave either up.

I have no regrets, I'm in a very high paid job where I get to be with my family more than If I was travelling alot so It's not all bad.

I will always be a very good basketball player for the average person but in terms of professional? not that close to be honest. I have played a few NBA players one on one and It shows you where you are at and where they are.

Tennis wise I'm still worthy enough to be one of the best Tennis players in my state. So that means alot knowing how good I am against non pro's.

That's very important, so I would definitely consider it great.
