These are two separate issues. The Strait of Hormuz being open means international commercial shipping can pass freely, tankers, cargo ships, etc. That's about freedom of navigation for the entire world.
Destroyed Iranian energy infrastructure is a completely different matter. Iran's oil and gas exports primarily flow to China (by far their #1 buyer), along with Iraq, Syria, and a handful of others operating outside Western sanctions. The global shipping lanes through Hormuz are not dependent on Iranian energy facilities being intact.
So no, they're not really related- open strait = ships move freely; damaged Iranian energy = Iran and its specific trading partners take the hit.
