WARRIORS @ BLAZERS - MARCH 16TH, 2014 - SUNDAY, 6:00 PM (PST), KGW

I think the only solution is hiring a defensive minded coach... but it's hard to argue not keeping Stotts and his #1 ranked offense but we are basically a George Karl team right now.

I think this will be forced on him in the offseason. Paul Allen wanted to see improvement on the defensive side last offseason. Don't know if he has gotten it this year.

the blazers has nothing to lose.. when the playoff time comes.. the favorites are under pressure.. regular season is for the favorites boring.. buuuuuutttt... the trailblazers has a lot of quality.. so are we a extreme underdog in the first round we can play with nothing to lose mentality.. so this thinking gives the team hit the clutch shot in the close situations easier then at the moment.. so we see that team can play against all teams a good match.. but cant bring to the end.. this is the pressure that we have at the moment. while the team thinking why we can lose the 4th seed or higher.. i hope you can understand what im sayin :D

Tough loss.

The worst part about this is we are sucking on KGW right now. They may keep to their money-grubbing ways and stay on comcast if we keep losing on KGW.

Lionel Hollins is just a call away... I'd pay that man. Just wish we could keep Stotts too as OC.

Lionell ain't going to slip in an assistant role. He won't have too.

But George Karl is just a call away. And he can diagram a pressing, full court kind of D. We've seen it out of him.

I admire the optimism of some posters here but I just don't see it. This team has no defense and no bench, and even less so now that injuries are setting in. Unless Lillard can really step up and show that he can be a legitimate #1 takeover guy then I don't see this team advancing. Aldridge is not that guy and who knows if he is even healthy.

Who was talking shit about Steve Blake the other day? He was a +13. First time he came in with I think a 6 pt deficit and left with a tie game, came in for a crucial stretch late 3rd/early 4th. The bench was basically the worst in the league before he came and now hes even playing with Curry for several minutes a game a la Jack.

He's a facilitating floor general who can't score inside the 3 pt line. Individual stats aren't what hes around for.

This will be the best solution (assistant coach) for next season.

No comparison. Karl didn't have all close games like Stotts. Karl's teams dominated in the regular season. Stotts would be Karl's assistant of course, not v.v..

That was me. He did decent. I still hold my opinion of him, though.

I like seeing the talk about a new coach.

It's my opinion that Stotts would be outmatched and over his head in the playoffs.

Neil Olshey has a lot of hard decisions to make. The easy part of his job is done.

Unless they lose the rest of their games or enough to miss the playoffs. Terry ain't going anywhere.

Either get a new coach or hire a helluva good defensive assistant coach. Or just switch him with Stotts.

Yeah he hasn't been totally lighting it up for the Dubs. But overall he solved a major problem for the team- helping the second unit create decent shots. Just wanted to point out this W's team is peaks and valleys and he can at least stabilize sometimes, especially with the less talented units.

And that's unfortunate, because it's becoming readily apparent that we need more balance... we just aren't out-shooting people anymore.. especially with these dumbass passes.

Next year Mccollum gettin better than this year. so the bench has 1 more option then this year. the experince is a big factor on our bench. Leonard has no ability to play in the NBA at moment. but well in some situation we see that he has a talent. but no experince, so next year he has the chance get better. Freeland is in his second year so give them credit.. i think this bench can build himself with this guys but transfers are not wrong.. with ready bench players the situation is easier for the startinglineup. when the management says we have no time to waste then get big free agents

Fair enough. I can dig that.

You are seeing the Blazers' valleys right now.

It would also be nice if Lillard could learn how to shoot again. He finally starts to improve his finishing at the rim and then his jumpshot disappears. He could be unguardable if he can get them going at the same time.

Took our best effort to win this one, though I guess we really did play like ass for at least the first half.

I think Terry is pretty good coach and game manager. Even more I think he is a pretty intelligent guy. I think he sees the woes on the defensive side and I personally think he will make the changes in the offseason. I believe he has one more year to prove he can get this together.

If he doesn't, he will be gone.

That, and the refs. They were TERRIBLE on both sides... they'd let obvious contact go, but call ticky tack, then flip it, and change whenever they felt like it. There was no consistency to the game. A typical Brothers' Production on an NBA floor.

This will be unpopular but can't shake this whole Damian Lillard is overrated feeling.

I hope proves me wrong in years to come. But it's a feeling that is setting in.
