On their regular season home finale, the Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Erie BayHawks 123-109 Friday night in front of a sold-out crowd at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
Santa Cruz was led by Seth Curry, who scored a game-high 33 points and dished out six assists. Cameron Jones scored 25 points, and Ognjen Kuzmic, currently on assignment from the Golden State Warriors, grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds. Daniel Nwaelele and Mychel Thompson each scored 15, while Kiwi Gardner and Karron Johnson each chipped in with 10 points off the bench.

Erie was led by Scott Suggs, who scored 31 points. Justin Brownlee scored 26, while Micah Downs added 15 points and a game-high nine assists.

Santa Cruz took its first lead of the game when a Seth Curry free throw made it 5-4 with 9:34 remaining in the first quarter. The Warriors led for the rest of the contest, pushing their advantage to double-digits in the first frame. Santa Cruz led by as much as 21 points in the second, but Erie ended the half on a 10-6 run to cut the Warriors' lead to single digits. Santa Cruz went on a 15-2 run in the third quarter, ending the frame with a 24-point advantage. The Warriors held their largest lead of 27 in the fourth before securing the 14-point victory.

Santa Cruz held the edge on field goal shooting (53.8%-53.4%), rebounds (38-34), assists (23-22), steals (11-6), points in the paint (46-40) and turnovers (13-18). Erie had more blocks (8-1).

The Santa Cruz Warriors travel to the Reno Events Center to face the Reno Bighorns on Saturday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. for their regular season finale.
