PERFECT POST!

Start with “Paint your Wagon”
“Kelly’s Heroes “ would be next.

Paint Your Wagon was a great flick....maybe the only musical I really liked. I mean, Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood singing in the same movie...hilarious in more ways than one. Of course, I have a soft spot for westerns. Filmed in Oregon

best Lee Marvin westerns?

The Professionals
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Paint Your Wagon
Cat Ballou
Monte Walsh

I was living in Eugene when Animal House was filmed. The cast was all over town at night in bars..true story. Most of "The Otis Redding Band" from the movie was the local "Robert Cray Band". They started in Eugene. A little later they merged with the Curtis Selgado band called the "Nighthawks" and formed the "CrayHawks". They kicked ass for a year or so in front of packed house. The reformed Robert Cray Band went national and had some great blues songs. Selgado moved to Portland and became a fixture. I don't know if he still performs much

Lots of trivia around the" OZ " movie. The one I like the best is that in all the musicals of that time all of the singing was dubbed in whether you could sing or not it was dubbed. It pissed a lot of people off but that was pretty much the norm so they lived with it. Judy Garland was allowed to do one take of " Over the Rainbow" at 12 years old and basically mic dropped it when she was finished and that take is in the movie.
A movie on the making of the Wizard of OZ is called Under the Rainbow. It is a spy spoof movie with Chevy Chase and Carrie Fisher that takes place in the hotel that housed all the little people in the wizard of OZ. Hilarious.

Nothing like comparing our basketball team of to the greatest generation of men who ever lived. Sure, why not?

Loose Cannons. So bad, it's good. I still get a belly laugh from Ackroyd doing those "LooneyToon" voices, and seeing Gene Hackman trying to hold back laughter in the background.

Since I mentioned Looney Toons, the Blazers win game 4, hot shooting finally arrives, and the Blazers steal game 5. Head back to PDX to MAUL the Dubya's in game 6, and edge Golden State by 2 on a Damian Lillard's 3 to break the hearts of the crowd, and the balls of the media.
