How many misleading statements has the Washington Post topped? 20k? 50? 100? They helped push the Iraq WMD narrative and get us into a war, bless their hearts. Let’s listen what the richest man in the world who refuses to pay his employees a living wage has to say.

Which type of Trump cultist is scarier? The ones who blindly believe his lies, or the ones who know he is a pathological liar and love him for it?

Certainly an interesting question. Also, which type is more numerous? On this forum, I think we have more of the latter, but I'm not sure if that's the case in the population generally.

Generally, I think his supporters fall into the first camp. Many of them don't have the time and interest to follow all the developments closely or research. They've chosen Trump as not just their representative but their eyes to the world. If he says a thing, they believe it. Right and wrong for them is defined by what Trump says--so, by definition, he can't lose these followers. Nothing he does would constitute a betrayal to them if what he does is definitionally correct.

His "supporters" in DC, however, almost entirely fall in the second camp (minus the "love"). Republican politicians are entirely cynical about him and have judged that their greater risk comes from opposing Trump and either getting primaried by a very pro-Trump Republican base or failing to garner their votes in a general election and thus losing. They're willing to discard independents who find Trump repulsive, in their political calculus. It mostly didn't work out for them in 2018, at least in the House. It did in the Senate because the vast majority of the Republicans defending Senate seats were in very safe red states and therefore only had to worry about primaries.

Lanny, Lanny, Lanny...:beatinto:

The Washington Compost, as Real Journalists refer to it since megalomaniac anti-Trumper Jeff Bezos bought it to misinform Americans to distract from his numerous tax dodges and business violations while he plows non-stop toward his sociopathic goal of self-appointed President of The World, does not print truth of any sort, at any time.

Learn at least a smidge about the world you live in and who runs it.

Then post.

It's actually quite funny watching the Trumpies tie themselves in knots explaining how they really don't mind his pathological lies.

Don't envy their task.

It's not a task, it's a passion. Like wanting to have sex with a badger. They know it's going to end badly, but they still just gotta try one more time.

What kind of fool blindly follows and believes everything faux news reports? Their hypocrisy is hilarious but also very sad. My god I would hate to pay the make up bill for their hosts.

Hey , the Washington Post has over 50 Pulitzer prizes while Fox News has zero, but has been scolded many times for falsehoods.
If you want to learn about the world and what's going on, I suggest you try a credible source for once. Good luck.

^^^This is the same person who cried “PERSONAL ATTACK!” when I said one of his posts was dumb. Hilarious.

Lanny, you lost your boy-who-cried-wolf credibility here.
The real @Lanny has been coming out lately. The "I got more schoolin' than you so I'm better" version.

What's really HILARIOUS is reading comments by "liberals" making fun of "Trumpies" for defending Trump's pathological lies.

Why is that hilarious? Because those same posters swallow their idol's well planned and media complicit lies for decades and ask for MORE.

It is like a Hannity devotee making fun of Maddow viewers.

There’s like 4 or 5 people here total who speak out against the media. Only 1 of them is a self-proclaimed Trump supporter from what I’ve seen. Yet, the liberal-leaning people here are constantly calling out “all you trumpies” when they need to vent about something Trump did. They aren’t talking to anyone, they are delusional. Simply not buying into their crazy Russia conspiracies is enough to be labeled a “Trumpet” who sits around on their thumb watching Fox News all day. But hey, gotta give the media credit, they’ve succeeded in a pretty extensive brainwashing campaign. You’ve got millions of “Liberals” all over the country calling for whistleblowers to be jailed and bombs to be dropped. Strange times.

People are desperately seeking change. 8 million people possibly voted for Trump after voting for Obama? What the hell does that tell you?

Hey, don’t be knockin’ badger sex until you’ve given it a try. Just sayin’....,..

and in 2018 the voters spoke of their unhappiness with what transpired and the "blue wave" happened. What does that tell you?
Tells me that you don't understand the point at all. I've been over Trump since Bolton took over. SWAMP.

None of you have even the slightest inclination to fact check Amazon Prime Daily...I mean the Washington Post.

They're lying about Trumps "misleading statements" Straight up fucking lying. The excuse I'm gonna get is the same for the Bosa tweet story....

(Edit, it might be 8000 misleading statements but when they lie about many who knows?)

Well, he just lies sooooo much so you gotta expect people won't give him the benefit of the doubt.

It makes me sick.

Back to the point you didn't get....people hoped Trump meant the stuff he said before the election. Like Hillary would just waste his tax money. Then he spends millions going back and forth to his golf club.

They KNEW Hillary was a swamp rat. They got fooled again. Which is what will happen next time. The corporate Democrats are going to promise free college and free healthcare and free this and that and reparations and God knows what else. The one thing I'm certain of is that they won't deliver jack shit.

The more schooling thing was in response to a Maris claim. I did not bring that subject up. I hope we can bury that.

So, there was this big big Texan visiting Alaska. He goes into a bar and strikes up a conversation. This big burly Alaskan says "We have three tests for a man in Alaska. 1. He's gotta drink a fifth of bourbon without taking a breath of air. 2. He's gotta make love to an Eskimo woman all night long. 3. He's gotta wrestle a grizzly bear." The Texan says "Give me that bottle of bourbon" and drinks it straight down. Then he says point me in the direction of the grizzly bear. He storms out of the taven and the Alaskans realize they've seen the last of that Texan alive. A day later the Texan enters the tavern all torn up with his clothes in rags and says "Now, where's that Eskimo woman you want me to wrestle?"

You always reference Pulitzer Prize wins when you badmouth Fox News.

Watch this video...please please please.

"From Politifact (winner of a Pulitzer Prize): The Pulizter Prizes are a household name, but they do not cover television broadcast journalism. But their approximate equivalent can be found in the duPont-Columbia Awards.

The Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards honoring excellence in broadcast journalism were established in 1942 by Jessie Ball duPont in memory of her husband, Alfred I. duPont. The duPont Awards, administered since 1968 by Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, are considered to be the most prestigious broadcast journalism awards and the equivalent of the Pulitzer Prizes, which are also administered at the Journalism School.

Once again, public broadcasting is the cream of the crop. PBS has 23, WBGH in Boston has 21 (many shared with PBS), and National Public Radio has earned 17. CBS and ABC each have 13, NBC 7, and CNN 6. MSNBC and Court TV have two, and National Geographic , CNBC and Current TV all have one. Fox News Channel? Zero."

I mentioned Pulitzer Prize winners not to get you to watch a Fox News clip but to watch a video involving a Pulitzer Prize winner and an independent journalist who won something called an Izzy Award (never heard of it before)

I don't watch Fox either. See some Tucker Carlson vids on YouTube once in a while.
