And so waht if some wins are because of offense...in case you didnt know, offense influecnes pitching and vice versa. wins are wins. the only person in BoSox rotation that i trust ius Schilling. Beckett is garbage. Matsuzaka is just as untested as Igawa. Wakefield is at least 45, and really fell of last year....and whos theiur #5??? toronto has a beast of a starting rotation. I love halladay. Chacin is garbage, and Burnett is inconsistent. Who else do they have...josh towers...okay...</div>Personally, I think Wang is being a bit overrated by you guys. Yeah, he had 19 wins last season and a Good ERA of 3.63, But he also has a very Poor BAA at .277, a Mediocre 1.31 WHIP, and Terrible K/9 of only 3.14 which to me shows that he was rather lucky last season. When you let that many base-runners on, and then let the rest of them make contract, it's only a matter of time before those runs begin crossing home. Is he a good pitcher? Sure. But he has alot more to show me before I'd consider him a Legit Ace. Also, I really don't see how you can Pencil in Pettitte either for 14-18 wins considering he put up a 4.20 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP in the National League last year and is now re-making the transition back to the American League with the DH, so that's bound to rise. Is it possible? Sure, but I'd think 10-15 wins is a much more reasonable prediction at this point. On the flip side though, I think your projection for Pavano if he is healthy is way too low. He's a decent pitcher who will win some games for you. I don't think a good 10 wins, if not more considering the Yankees Lineup, is out of the Question. As for the other Rotations, I tend to think Beckett and Burnett will fare much better in their Second Seasons in the American League, as many other pitchers do much better the Second Year in the American League. I don't think any of their 3 rotations is as great as their fans make them out to be though.</div>You can't hold K's against Wang. He's not a K pitcher. He's a stone-ball thrower. He throws to force people to ground out. Either you hit a dribbler into the infield, or you let the K go through... so players swing and hit it, and ground ball to Jeter.... He's not a K pitcher because he doesn't try to be, not because he sucks.I'll give you his wins were more than they should have been. He should have only won 16 or 17 games last year. But that's still pretty good. And the lineup wil save 2 or 3 games for him this year as well.I never said Pettitte would be stellar, just better than RJ was last year. It's at the very least a wash. I ike Burnett, but I never liked Beckett. I smiled when the Red Sox signed him.Pavano will be better than our 5th starter last year..... no one for half a season and Lidle's 5+ ERA the 2nd half. Which I already said.
