Book it!

Would be awesome, but even if he continues this they'll give it to westbrook or durant or another "superstar" instead.

LaMarcus didn't even get Player of the Week honors the other week when he tore it up. I'm not holding my breath for this award to be won by him.

He's averaging 26.9/10.2 for the month and the team is 8-4. The team needs to keep winning and he needs to keep posting big numbers to be considered. Two games to go. It would be great if he could have a huge game on national TV against the Celtics to close out the month.

Durant is averaging 28.2/6.3 and Westbrook is averaging 24.0/5.3/9.1, but OKC is only 5-4 in January. Aldridge's numbers are just as good, if not better than both. And, if the Blazers can end up winning 10 games in January and the Thunder only win 7 or 8, I think Aldridge will be more deserving.

Of course, that doesn't mean he'll win it.

Who cares about Player of the month award?! If these are our goals that's pathetic. How about making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs?
POTM, All-Star nomination - that's all bull-shit and will only destract LA and the team from focusing on what's important: playing together, playing for each other and winning games.

No doubt. First player in 6 years to go 25/10 in five straight games in the NBA, and nobody even noticed it until the Oregonian pointed it out after the fact.

I'm already bracing for the snub for the All-Star team. I was honestly shocked that Roy ever made it. This team is always snubbed.

So much for enjoying the little things...

No kidding. I understand the focus on winning, but these little awards are for us as fans to brag about... why not enjoy them if/when they come?

Just my way of saying he's playing like a mother fucking bad ass right. Doesn't change a thing if he does or doesn't get the award.

Tell you what, I see and agree with you points and suggest you add me to your ignore list.

I think Griffin will get the POM honors as they're winning now too, and Blake is putting up better numbers than Aldridge (He had 30-18-8 tonight and hit a game winning three in the last minute). But LA might get the POW this week because the Blazers were undefeated.

But LMA rose with us first...

I bet you money Boston drops into a zone and begs us to shoot outside. That is a tough team for LA to get his!
