Four years ago he used xenophobia and the fear of illegal immigrants as well as the hatred of the establishment to get elected.

Now he's falling back to good old blind patriotism and hatred from both sides to play people off each other. I feel like I'm sitting here taking crazy pills watching this happen.

Last night both sides were waiting on baited breath so that they could play the victim after it was announced who was shot and killed downtown. It was shameful. And then to see the flip flopping from both sides about whether the shooting was justified. I'm completely disgusted at our country right now.

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with what that man stood for, you should be completely alarmed at the dehumanization that has been going on for both sides. There were people who were cheering his death. Cheering the death of the Nazi. The death of the fascist. If that doesn't scare you, you need to take a closer look at what's happening.

Trump and the news are playing us against each other. They are widening the divide every single day. On one side we have the socialist anarchists who want to destroy this glorious country. And on the other side we have the Nazi racist fascists who want to kill anyone who isn't white.

I can almost guarantee you that most of the people on both sides do not fall into any of those categories, but that is what we are being sold and people are eating it up. It's falling right into Trumps hands. The vast majority of the states that we need to win in order to get rid of him are still in that "god bless America" category. People who have been told from birth that America is the greatest country in the world. And now they're being told that the evil ANTIFA/BLM socialist anarchists are out here burning cities. That they want to tear down our country. So of course you have the same people who volunteer for the military because to die for your country is an honorable thing, are now standing up to come out and fight the evil anarchists.

How is this not completely obvious? People are getting played like a piano, and this is the only way Trump is going to win. If he convinces the rest of the country that the liberals are out of control and that they are allowing these anarchists to destroy their cities. But when the other side cheers the death of an unarmed person, guess what that gives him? Ammunition.

I never in a million years thought Trump could do as much damage as he has done in four years to the fabric of our society, but here we are. And we are staring down the barrel of another four years.

I see no chance. Never in the history of polling has one candidate been so far ahead in so many categories. It's gonna be a slaughter in total vote count. The slaughter will be so complete that the Electoral College vote won't even be close although it will be closer than the popular vote.
I've witnessed 13 Presidential elections and I've never seen one with one candidate this far ahead of the other and it's not likely to happen again for a long long long time.

I am afraid of the same, but I have gone to the Oceanside harbor for the first time in a while and noticed a very different scene than 2016. Oceanside is a conservative, military city in San Diego county - which is a lot more conservative than most of CA. The harbor / marine is basically the somewhat well to do, conservative, older yacht owning people.

In 2016 - there was nothing but Trump flags on anything. This time, it was 1/2 and 1/2 Biden / Trump.

Using the Oceanside harbor polling method - if Biden splits the vote of the conservative marine boat owner - Trump is going to lose big.

If people STILL need reasons to not vote for Trump now, then they're incorrigible and not worth the time. This election will not be decided by people on the fence. It's simply about getting people to vote. I still have a semblance of hope that the majority of people in this country can see through the vitriol and xenophobia and lack of compassion, and stupidity, and... etc etc etc. Just get a good voter turnout and that should be enough to get rid of Trump.

We desperately need someone who can unite the country right now. Remember when politicians openly at least talked about bipartisanship and finding resolutions that was a compromise? It wasn't that long ago.

Might not be Biden, but he's done more to bring some sort of restoration of common decency and morality than the guy looking to divide at every corner. How is it that we have a president of only his base? I can't believe we have come this far.

Trump is bad is not merely a narrative. Over the last four years those opposing Trump shared actual examples of his actions, inactions, his words, and those for Trump have waived it off.
