We Could Go 18-0

One minor thing that helps us to start the season is that we play the T-Wolves 3 times in November and they'll be without Kevin Love. I know he's not a major factor, but it should help us a little.

Look at the Lakers first 21 games...only 4 road games

I thought that would make a difference last year, when the Lakers had something like 22 out of 25 games on the road (or whatever it was), but it didn't matter. I don't think it will matter for the Lakers that they'll have a stretch where they make up road games.

It is pretty daunting though, that for the last 61 games, the Lakers have 37 road games and 24 home games.

Um yea right.:evilfire:

Step away from the Bong, and go get some food to help you come down from your high. :devilwink:

I'm just thinking about tonight - anybody know if the snow in Denver delayed the Nugs getting here last night? Any advantage we can get from this early season back-to-back helps us.

IMO the away game against the Nuggets has the biggest chance to lose but now I dont even think that after the Nuggets got the Lakers attention with a little preseason scuffle. I would say their game against the Mavs this friday (which I am going to :ghoti:) will be the game with the second most chance to lose....but the Lakers own the Mavs like a ho!
And in case you are wondering the Lakers schedule is like this it because the Grammy take over the Staples Center for a week in February.
the lakers definitely are the most likely team to be the last undefeated. their schedule is the easiest of the teams who realistically have a shot.

extreme homerism is pointing out that the blazers have an easy opening schedule?

It's not that easy.

@ Houston
@Atlanta
@ Utah
@NO

Home games against some teams that look very good too Denver, SA etc.

A team you called "NBADL" quality. ;) I don't actually think that they are, but you're pretty inconsistent in how you regard Houston depending on what you're arguing.

I don't think highly of this team, but Portland has trouble beating them in Houston.

it's a pretty easy opening schedule. there is no "etc". there is another home game against atlanta. over 18 games they play 3 tough road games and 3 tough home games. that's easy.

portland has no tough games on the end of back to backs and have some of their games line up favorably with other good teams being on the back end of them. it's going to suck for you i guess it portland jumps out to a good record(18-0 is unlikely, but possible) and makes you look bad but oh well.

I am just glad that others think Nate should be fired. I thought it was only me that hated the guy.

Heh.

That 72-10 Bulls team lost 2 in a row once and otherwise lost a game here and there.

They won 69 the next season and 62 the season after.

They won 67 the middle season of their 1st threepeat.

Just to give you all something to shoot for.

18-0?

12-8?

I think our team this year are overachievers.
portland failing to take advantage of their easy early schedule is definitely a bad thing.

but that doesn't mean anyone was wrong for pointing out that the schedule was easy early and that if the blazers started well they could jump out to a great record.

I have a feeling we will have a 7-8 record in December (Losses with Miami, Houston, Cleveland, Phoenix, Dallas, Miami, San Antonio, and Denver again.

portland definitely needs to get some wins in their next 6 games(they should be favored in 5 of them) because the 6 after that are brutal. home against phoenix, a road back to back with orlando and miami, a road back to back with dallas and san antonio, and then home to denver.

I'm feelin' the vibe.

You should set a reminder in Google Calendar to bump this thread every year.

Every season begins as a flowering virgin, ripe with possibility. Yeah, we all know the scabby whore is a-comin', but a guy can dream.

(In before HCP wife joke.)

YES! I love that ABM is willing to laugh at himself. I couldn't find this thread when I looked a couple of weeks ago. 18-0 here we come! :MARIS61:

Seriously, you should stop by Grand Central Bowl next Monday evening. I wasn't kidding when I said I would buy you a beer or two.

If I coming, somebody is buying me a beer!
