stupid ass thing to say, why ban him for asking a question (cant tell if you're jokin, didnt take it like that)I get what he is saying, but it still would not make much sense at all. We have been in Iraq for a long time now, after the initial "successes" of the war (if you can call them that) there really isn't anything here. The people responsible for 9/11 weren't backed by Iraq or I think even from Iraq. That is where most of our soldiers are stationed though. We went to Iraq to find the so called WMD's. None showed up, but they thought "Hey lets clean this sh*t up!". They took out Saddam (the only positive thing here), but there are still insurgents who are attacking them over there. It would've been better not to get in this mess as it is. There are still suicide bombings in Iraq, and other places like Pakistan. People just assume that Iraq did it and totally agreed with the 9/11 attacks. I just can't see it any good to stay there any longer. We've done enough. More of our soldiers are dying every day. Not needed.

First of all, this war is not winnable. Even if there was another attack that would spur positive feelings about the conflict, we, as foreign invaders, have no chance. They will prevail in expelling the U.S. from the Middle East, no matter how strongly Americans feel as far as being pro-war. We're in the Muslim holy land where they take foreign invasion from other cultures/religions extremely seriously. So it's time to leave and cut our losses, I say. It's a war on terrorism; it's impossible for one nation to destroy every single terrorist cell over there and even all over the world.And you see what George Bush is doing to everybody, using all of this rhetoric to try to relieve himself of any guilt and finger-pointing. He says that Bin Laden is still over there leading terrorist groups and if we leave, they'll just continue on. Even with the troops there now, Bin Laden is in hiding wherever he is leading them. He says that success is near and failure is possible if we leave. Failure is still very possible if we stay; like I said we cannot destroy every single terrorist with anti-American feelings in the world.

That's what the U.S. is thinking too, "Hey we took out Saddam, but there are still some people here, lets try to take em all out." That can't be done, at least not anytime soon. Iraq is a product of 9/11, everyone can say it isn't but it is. Saddam was not responsible for 9/11, but the actions of 9/11 allowed the US to invade Iraq. 9/11 doesn't happen and neither does the Iraq war, despite what the media has been saying that Bush planned Iraq before his election, the simple fact remains he could have launched the war without full approval from congress, which he pretty much got. also, without the "collition of the willing" he wouldn't have been able to launch an attack. more countries would have joined the invasion but the four most prominant protesters, China, Russia, Germany and France all have large Muslim populations and those countries didnt want to rile that group up. its not that they think Saddam is some innocent man that the US is picking on, because its quite the opposite, they dont want their Muslim populations to riot. We all witnessed in the fall of 05 what can happen when the Muslims get upset, they damn near burned down Paris because two criminals were killed running from the cops. if these European mainland countries participates moreso, they would face civil war. Actually most these countries, except China, hope the US succeeds in Iraq because it would limit immigration to their own countries.Iraq is very winnable, just the changing of the war strategy every 3 months needs to stop. thats what happened in Vietnam and thats why the US lost Vietnam. These bleeding hearts need to face the fact that the war is there and bad sh*t happens in war. sometimes US soldiers are going to have to go a bit above what is considered right to do. War is not pleasant, and its never been this gentalmenly escipade like it is sometimes portrayed. The Media did more damage in Iraq with their photos of Abu Grahb than any insurgent. yet we never hear them blamed, when they should be taking a huge blame for their complete and utter misconduct during the wars. they have misreported numerous times on events all in order to get ratings. I've seen many of the shows on TV about the Iraq war, and they all do it even the more conservitive ones. I have many friends who have been to Iraq, and being interested in both History and Politics I have pestered them about many things of the war. the one thing many of them say is they are shocked by how the Media is portraying this war. The Media has said we have all but lost, that thousands of men and women are dying and the terrorist are wiping the floor with the US. but according to these people who have been there, that is not at all the case. Insurgents are a problem, but they are mostly attacking in areas which it is impossible for the US to secure, such as Mosque because the US pretty much has a backroom deal with the Iraqi government that US soldiers will not enter a Mosque. also, attacks are happening in border areas because Syrians can run back to Syria and the US cannot go after them. Where is the basis for this war? There is none at all. There are terrorists in Pakistan as well, but guess what we don't want to attack to hamper our relations with Musharraf. We could've handled this alot better, but no, we decide to guy fight in an unneeded war. There were no WMD's (the main dam cause we went into Iraq). Saddam Hussein wasn't the main cause of the 9/11 attacks, which was were our "War on Terror" started. It seems it has begun to be the "War on the entire middle east" as the situation in Iran hasn't eased up much at all.

Not really. The UN wanted them to have more weapon checks into their WMD's. But again the U.S. goes to hastily in this and starts a war that has essentially put us into this quagmire.There was no justification to go so fast into this, the UN did not want this, but America decided. That shows how much power the UN has- noneThere are not only the American soldiers that are getting killed, but people tend to forget the large amount of innocent Iraqi civilians getting killed for no apparent reason. I really doubt a war would've been stopped because of such a thing like that. America has a (growing) Muslim population. This war is very winable, congress and the President just have to let the troops do their jobs. also, the president must force the Iraqis to start doing their part, once they do things will really begin to change.Who are the ones protesting the war? the same damned people who cry about human rights. They set over 10,000 fires, and practically shut the city down, and lets not forget what they did in Denmark over some f*cking cartoons.America is known for the ammount of wars its down? so the 15 real conflicts with foriegn nations are known around the world? most of which the US was forced into by other nations either attacking the US(Barbar I, Barbar II, Mexican WWI, WII, Afghanistan), or was a civil matter(American Revolution and American Civil War). Not including the indian and Utah wars the US has fought only 3 true wars of Agression(Spanish, Phillpine, Iraq) the other 4 wars(1812,Korean, Vietnam,Gulf) were for other reasons. so its not like the US is this big expansionist nation constantly picking on some little country. and when the US is involved in such missions(Somalia, Serbia) they tend to be with the United Nations.I dont think we can accurantly say what the historical reprocusions of this war are yet, its too soon. only 3,600 Americans have died there. during the Civil War that would be considered a light skermish in a single battle. this isn't as bloody of war as everyone is saying it is, its bloody yes but all wars are bloody. but this is going to take time, but this constant bickering with the idiots on Capitol Hill is going to cost many more lives.
