A veteran big man off the bench. Freeland and Robinson have performed admirably, but Robinson is too raw and Freeland is too limited.

Preferably a guy with some playoff experience. That's the missing piece. Like Juwan Howard a few years ago. That kind of guy. Who's out there?

Freeland has played great, and Robinson has his ups and downs. It's important to get him minutes. It's the only way he'll continue to develop. I don't think he's really hurt us, so I'm not worried about it.

I know, Mags. Just adding fuel from the other thread. Too bad Przybilla's done. He would've been a solid vet to have around.

He would be a perfect vet!!! I wished he was our big man coach

Well, this thread is going nowhere.

Sam Smith of Bulls.com
10th in the West. Trail Blazers. Record last season: 33-49. Missed playoffs. Key additions: R. Lopez, Mo Williams, Dorell Wright, C.J. McCollum.
Perhaps another season saying they should be a playoff team, which may finally push LaMarcus Aldridge out. But probably not at least until trade deadline or more likely after the season. They’ve got some real talent in Damian Lillard with Nicholas Batum. But if they think Robin Lopez is the answer to their decades long center problems, they better get used to seeing someone move like Greg Oden after surgery.

Discuss. lol

CJ needs improvement?

The ONLY thing we NEED is for rookies to stop makin' threads!

Agree, a vet big man (4/5) would really be helpful come playoff time. If not, hope T-Rob and Freeland develop very quickly.

I wish I had thought of this.

You need to step up your game if you want to enjoy this forum. You simply need to learn that you can't say literally anything remotely negative about the team, or you get attacked. The Mods don't seem to give a flying fuck about it, so it's best to to shut up and let the lemmings praise some obscure writer from South Dakota because he owns a Chevy TrailBlazer, or bash Chad Ford because his last name is Ford and not Chevy, which has a TrailBlazer.

Saying we need a vet big translates to Olshey is clueless and our roster is horrible

....and we should have tanked from the beginning of the season.

Go Blazers

its far too early and far too cold to play the victim card today.

Who is playing a victim card?

And I did a little English and grammar research last night. Seems if you complain about someone using a victim card, you in turn are playing a victim.

It's damn cold here in Huston too. high of 41 today....WTF?

Yeah, whatever--sub-20 degrees in Portland, with snow flurries. Now you're a weather victim too?! :devilwink:

Deny! DENY!

Denying is not good. you need to accept it and move on.

Like Bobby Knight told rape victims.

The way I see it, you're either playing the victim card, or you're purposely trolling people. And since I don't think you're trolling people, you're doing the victim card. Almost to a T

It would need to be someone better than a Juwan Howard. I think JH was more limited than Freeland at that stage in his career. Plus we are talking 60 more games of experience for Joel and Trob.

I am all for adding another big, but he needs to be just that. BIG! He needs to give us what Lopez gives us. We have 6'9" guys. My concern like most is an injury to Robin. No one can replace LMA so it is moot to find a back up for what he brings. But another Vet center would be nice. But from what I can see our options would be Pryz, Jason Collins, John Petro, and Diop.

Leonard is as effective as these guys.

But my avatar? Does that mean nothing to you?

ironic 80's reference? My older sister had a ton of those back when I was in....4th grade? I think. Not sure. I gave one of them a buzz cut, she did not appreciate.
