Game Thread Wednesday 5/04/16 Yankees @ Orioles 7:05PM

These Overpaid Whores are so boring to watch, I'm going to watch Survivor instead.

Sabathia has had the lucky horseshoe up his butt this evening. Credit to him for surviving and keeping it even.

What do you know. Awesome start by CC and a few runs. Headley and Hicks are still ridiculous. You're putting two guys in your lineup that are a combined 12 for 100 with no homers and four RBIs.

This is like the twilight zone, Sabathia is pitching well & we're shutting out the O's 5-0

Where do they find these garbage relievers? 7-0 lead and this clown manages to load the bases.

What are the Orioles paying Davis 150 or 160 mil, .216 batting average. Cashman must have made that deal for them.

Sabathia with a smidgen of luck and some offense gets it done no thanks to Headley and Hicks. Been a while since we've seen this.

LHP - C.C. Sabathia (1-2, 5.06 )

RHP - Tyler Wilson (1-0, 3.06 ERA)

Expect to see Beltran at DH tonight & Aaron (I can't seem to hit 100) Hicks in RF. Also lets see if Girardi's love affair with Headley keeps him at 3rd base or if he puts the kid Torreyes at the hot corner. Stay tuned.

Lineups to follow.

That's very cute : Aaron (I can't seem to hit .100) Hicks....looks like we found ourselves another whipping boy.

He's not only the best outfielder on team, he's one of the better outfielders in the league.....he's already saved a couple of runs with excellent plays in LF and RF....and he's a CF by trade.

What can we say? ....the general opinion was he was brought here to be the 4th outfielder and kinda take the place of Chris Young.
At the age of 26 and showing definite good improvement (vs LHP and RHP) last year from his first two seasons when didn't play more than 81g - 281 AB.

2013 - .192 BA/.597OPS, vs RHP .189/.566, vs LHP .203/.713
2014 - .215 BA/ .615OPS, vs RHP .178/.512, vs LHP .279/.792
2015 - .256 BA/.721 OPS, vs RHP .235/.661,
.....vs LHP ..307/.807
Had his most AB (352) in 2015...
...and he managed to steal 13/16 SB in just 95g...not too shabby.

Excuse me for being "blind homer"...but at 26 yrs old, looks to me like it's reasonable to expect a bit more overall improvement and consistency from him as he matures with more playing time. Is this outrageous?

He's making 574K this season while the great Chris Young who will be 33 yrs old before season's end is making 6.5 million this year and has "established" himself after 10 or so years as a .235 BA/ .741 OPS.
Career .263 BA/.836 vs LHP, .224/.702 vs RHP.

You mentioned Hicks - he's currently batting .143 with 2 RBI.
I can enjoy a joke as well as any...lol

Young is batting .167 with one RBI....
And of course, the guy they traded for Hicks, John Ryan Murphy is batting .083 with O RBI.

lol......isn't it fun?
Nice outing by CC tonight......so far, not too bad for a #5 SP....oops, sorry, he's earning over 20 mil - so the whole baseball world knows he should be pitching like an ace...my bad.

Let's have some more fun, Yanks will NOT make "changes" if things continue along this way....and they'll lose 100 or so games...lmaooooo

Thank Rick, always on the ball.....care to comment on anything else from my post - I DID provide a few more numbers and a couple of opinions.
Ah, never mind- the hell with it. The game is over...
Go Yanks!

...plus he's even been platooned vs favorable pitching match ups and still fails.

...but hey, it's one game win streak...by all means, let's break out the pompoms.

Who the fuck is James Pasos? I hope he's a 3rd baseman otherwise he ain't gonna be worth dick to this team.

Cashman & comrades keep pulling these players out of their damn asses!
Definitely a corporate move = as a nontransparent move as you can get!
