Do I think there's excess capacity in the FBI? I know there is. It's built in so some are always working on long-term projects while hopping in to help when there's overflow.

However, we're straying from the real issue. If a Congressman's account was hacked, it's a national security issue. If the Congressman is lying, then we have a right to know.

and i guess i dont understand what you mean by the whole overflow thing...like they are working on the pentagon camera layout and then "drop everything! someone sent a penis pic!" lol, good stuff, our tax dollars at work

If someone hacked his twitter, it stands to reason they've hacked into other areas of his online life or into his computer, doesn't it? The guy is a Congressman. I would imagine that he has access to classified information. At that point, it becomes a Federal issue and a possible security link.

Of course there's not going to be an investigation. It's his dick, and he sent the picture. He's not going to ask for an investigation because at that point he's committed a crime. My entire point is that he's making a false claim and if it really happened the way he claimed, then the FBI HAS to step in and investigate. At that point, if he's lying, he's fucked.

As for the "overflow" issue, every large organization will have excess capacity. There's long-term work being done that can be interrupted by a short-term project with no harm done to the longer-term one.

I still think if Weiner didn't come out right away and mock the whole establishment like the condescending asshole he is, this would have been way less painful. But he just made it worse for himself and its hilarious. Like giving a speech in front of 45k people and someone throws a pie at you...come on!!!!! :biglaugh:
