Its been a long 2 year pursuit. But it was worth it.

I think I see Portland's alley-oop total going up even higher.

I see a G.O. Cameo!

Just wait till these two are playing on the same team! Damn.

Cho landed Pritchard's white whale.

And RoyToy seethes.

I actually really liked Pritchard. Never wanted to see him let go. But I'm in favour of what Cho has done so far.

Portland now has evil grit!!!!!! Bring in Oden next year and we are going to bang teams all over the freaking court!!! SO NICE!!!!!

I haven't been this excited about an acquisition in quite a while. Dude is another gamer, plays tough, takes charges, has no ego, doesn't need plays called for him to be effective and just last year was an AS.

I think Chris paul/Danny Granger were Pritchards white whales.

Exactly. The guy is cut from the same mold as Wesley Matthews. I love that the organization is not only going for talent, but is going for tough, smart talent.

Granger? I don't really associate Granger with KP much.

Chris Paul could definitely be said to be the white whale, but I was thinking more along the lines of semi-realistic ones. Though maybe the whole idea of a white whale is that it isn't realistic.

This has become more complicated than I originally intended.

I just realized he was First Team All-NBA Defense last season. Next to Kobe, Dwight, LeBron and Rondo.

Jesus. I knew he was a good defender, but I wasn't paying that close attention....

I'm reading that Charlotte pulled the trigger on this deal because they wanted to open up minutes for Gerald Henderson that they feel is an emerging star.

Well, they had to say something.

So. As it is now:
C: Aldridge PF: Wallace SF: Batum SG: Matthews PG: Miller

What about when Camby is back? Who gets taken out of the lineup? Do they start Batum or Wallace?

Here's an interesting fact: Gerald Wallace is one of three players in NBA history to average at least 2 blocks and 2 steals in a season. The other two? David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon.

Wallace over Batum. Just gotta hope Batum can play well off the bench.

When Camby is back I suspect Nate will start Wallace and then also use him at backup PF. Aldridge can lower his minutes to 36-38, Wallace will get 10-12 at PF, 24-26 at SF and Batum can get about 24 at SF. Rudy can backup Matthews, who needs to rest his ankle anyway.

Batum might keep his spot for a while. But I'd be shocked if Wallace isn't the starting SF within a few weeks.

Maybe Batum can learn a thing or two from Wallace about playing with intensity on every play.

I think this is just something that will come with time for Batum. It's not as if we do not have Wes on the roster already...

No doubt, and slashing! Could have been the difference last night against the Faker's when he was bricking wide open three's. Take it to the Hoop Nicolas!

Yes I think he's improved on it this year already, he can really slash and take it to the rim with those long arms.

Gotta go with Wallace at SF. He'll probably have to work his way in the first few games, but he is too good of a player to have him be a reserve.

I would obviously agree, I think you no doubt give the start to GDub. But I think, even with Camby and Roy back there should be plenty of combination's to get Batum and Rudy mins. Its nice to finally have a little depth again!

On TNT, Barkley is arguing with everyone else about what teams should do. Barkley says any team that's not a contender should blow up and likes this trade more for the Bobcats.

Kenny thinks this makes us dangerous in the playoffs and Mchale likes the trade too.
