Well, well, well...... Nothing like the smell of fresh meat in the morning. This is the biggest migration here since we showed up back in the fall of ‘08. Surprising, since sources last summer where saying we had a retention problem. Oh well.

Listen up rooks, we do things a certain way in these parts. First off, I hope you read the forums rules and FAQs. Always good to know what you are getting into.

Next up, probably one of the most important tips I can share with you is to “know your place”. Ya, it’s neat that we have all this fresh blood coming in, but you have to earn your stripes if you will. We tend to frown upon anybody under.......10,000 posts, to how do I say it, to make any waves. And preferably not to create any threads. It’s just kind of our way of seeing if you have what it takes to be a part of our little family.

Now you are allowed to cuss here, but please no insults towards other forum members. Game threads can can get a bit heated, but there should be no reason to attack our fellow Blazer fanatics.

And lastly, do NOT post any misleading or blurry photos...... it will start a riot.

This site was killing it before you showed up, so don’t feel to special about joining us. Keep up or get run over FAMS!
So I'm past the rookie threshold, and I'm a source now? Fuck yeah.

Hey Cup!
Good to see you here. There's lots of good guys to argue with. Try The HCP.
I believe I might have met him at one of the meet and greets several years ago and possibly when I signed up back in 2009. I will say I'm liking the ignore feature as it eliminated one of my dingleberries from Olive, lol.

Nurk is young. He stays in the paint mostly. Needs to work on being patient-dribbling and handling.
theres multiple things in his game he needs to work on, but Id say priority is to work on his shooting technique from low post, those shots often look ugly, like hes just throwing them to the rim... not just that, but also those easy shots he misses... when he improves that, hell be more efficient and better player obviously

only and only after that, he should focus on developing his game by learning more low post moves, develop three point shot etc

hes looking much better when hes not forcing things, when hes patient and letting the game to come to him

He needs to just dunk the ball. Why the namby pamby finger rolls? Throw it down!

I know this is a little early but I'm planting a seed: To any of you new (former) O-Live members... If any of ya'll got some ball skills, our forum got a RipCityTwo 3-on-3 team in the Media Bracket of the Rip City 3-on-3 tournament last July. Me and @honkicracker are the only people left from that squad that post here. I know @dviss1 has made promises to play this year but who knows if he'll pull a LaMarsha and keep it. You can have 4 people per team, so we'll have at least one spot open. There was some good competition last year.

Or just palm the ball and shoot it laterally. He's right at the rim, I don't understand why he has to flick the ball upwards...

One thing i feel is minutes played plays a major role in development and what a player does on the court. Nurk has been in three different systems. Right now he is approaching 2000 mins played for the Blazers. That includes last year. With a grand total of 68 games played in this system. There are signs of the game slowing down and coming to him. You must remember that he also changed playing style a bit with the loss of weight. I see signs of him taking that extra moment to focus on his shot and look for an outlet pass. He is still trying to go through instead of around defenders. As he approaches the 4000 minute mark you should see a much improved Nurkic in this system. That is if the Blazers actually keep him?

Here is a quick note. Marc Gasol has played a grand total of 23,400 minutes in the NBA. He has seen it all and nothing shakes him any more.

The post is speaking like a true coward. (Is that how you do it? Criticize the post and not the poster?)

The only thing that might happen is if you do call someone a name like say "Dumbshit". Sly will sneak in and change the sentence a bit. But he will not take it down. It will just not be allowed to stand as a personal attack on the forum.

Nothing sneaky about it, I turn petty arguments between 2 people into unifying hatred of me.
